Sorry for the loss of your dad buddy, Having his family there was comforting for him I'm sure. You have done everything anyone could do for him. In the end family is all anyone has.

Thanks, bud. His older brother was going to stay so he wouldn't die alone, and I just couldn't do it. It took words of wisdom from a family friend to give the three of us the strength we needed to be by his side. I've never been around anyone in their moment of death, but I handled it better than I expected I would. It still wasn't easy, but it's bittersweet. It's going to be tough with him gone but at the same time, he's free.
Sorry to hear about this JJ. Many of us have been in a similar position and it's never easy but you seem to have a good mindset to help you get through it. And you're right, "He's free".
