Day one draws to a close and what an awesome day. Spun my truck and trailer with snowcat a full 360 degrees on the way down my road this morning. Luckily only damaged one trailer light. Finally got to Vail, did some cat skiing in the usual places. The snow was great. Then of course some apres ski Colorado style. BBQ, great people and lots of cool cats to look at. Now the sun is setting and we are getting some pictures of the br 100 LS before we leave. See everyone tomorrow! Oh and where is Pontoon Princess?

Here's some pictures from today. Had a great time skiing with our group and joined Nottingham for a few runs. The snow was great especially in the morning. Lots of other people were snowcat skiing. Tacos for lunch were amazing, thanks to the ladies for preparing them. Another great day and looking forward to seeing Montezuma in the winter. Hopefully we get some snow!

What, no corned beef and cabbage?? Thought Sean was an Irish name?
Great way to spend St. Patrick's day, and I think most everyone wore green

Day 3 at Montezuma was awesome, thanks to Aaron and Travis for giving us rides up. Also thanks again to the ladies for preparing awesome food. Got in a couple of great laps. Ended up being a full on blizzard at the end of the day. Overall had a great time over the three days. Lots of great people to meet, lots of great skiing, some epic views, tasty food, and great swag "Tshirts, hats, stickers" Hopefully this event continues to grow and maybe even starts to draw in people from all over.

Great to see the names, cats and faces come together at McCallin’ and now the high mountains of Colorado- we will be trying to get to more events in 2019.

sooo tired will post pics soon . Had 17 cats out and they where all from Colorado. Only 3 forum members made it lol that is pretty sad for you old people. I guess some just cant handle the steep and deep.

yup, quite old, feeble, and very square, flat landers for sure, get nose bleeds over 100 foot elevation, on the lighter side of LOL, did manager to save couple of old tuckers...

great to hear of the fabulous success of the Colorado jamboree and 17 cats, that is impressive !!!!!

Sorry to miss the Jamboree, again. Last week was a tough one for us, my mother-in-law passed away on Friday following a long decline. And last year I broke my leg skiing a couple weeks before the Jamboree. So all I can say is there is always next year...

Yes! I agree with the princess. My 500 is jetted for 100 foot to 500 foot elevation anything over that it starts runs fat and I start getting scared.:hide: the 500 machines were not built for claiming they were built for flat terrain and not more than 6 inches of snow lol. I am so glad to hear that the Colorado Jamboree went well and you guys all had fun I will try to make it next year I promise.

well I guess the 700 club members will have to continue to hold it down. Wait can you call it a club if there is only one member ? Maybe its refereed to as a gentleman's club then . Wait still not right .... we bring to many beautiful women with us for that. Ill get back to you

Day one of the Colorado Snowcat Jamboree. We hauled out an enclosed double axle trailer on skis with a wood burning stove. The trailer served as a mobile warming hut. In the trailer we hauled out a full size grill, several couches, chairs, kegs, swag, and food. That night we had several campers stay at Vail pass and party the night away.:eatdrink: lots of Tincup to go around and
Tenth mountain Whisky also brought out there sponsored hagglund with tons of free whisky

The now famous mother tucker made here first trip since being stolen. it was quite a sight to see here back in action! to bad my camera died but some one has the pics.

Aaron,

Please don't take my lack of being there, for lack of wanting to be there. Several extenuating circumstances (that I'd rather not go into on a public forum) prevented participation this year.

I would genuinely like to go, and hopefully will next year.

"tons of free whisky", That alone should make this the most popular event ever. By the way a ton of whiskey is about 260 gallons.

no hard feelings. We will see you next year !

The kids where up bright and early ready to snowcat!
Wow what a second day it was! We gave away over 60 tshirts,45 hats,120 stickers, lots of alcohol, edibles and as much as you can eat or drink. Got to love Colorado ! The freighter stayed out all night long antarctic style and partied. 10th mountain and Tincup where back out with more cases of whisky. The tucker Terra 1600 brought more people up from camp hale.I tried to get everyone to the to of ptarmigan to take a group photo but less then half made it lol. Most cats where off cats skiing and having fun exploring mountain tops some had to go back to the parking lot and pick other guest up. Tory Nottingham being the good mommy she is had the kids gather kindling so that they could take turns playing on the kids snowmobiles and timbersleds. Ashley Tucker gathered full trees with the Prinoth trooper.

tons of catsking all day , alittle windy at the top.
3 Prinoth troopers attended the even.

my old 1342 Tucker made it out with passenger cab finished , just needs paint. That kind of made my day to see the cat that I rebelted myself running like a champ.
more pics of the trailer we hauled out with homemade skis.

Mother tucker (johnny) brought out some hoof tequila from Vail for everyone to try. He broke and axle at the end of the day. Johnny made a bush fix and bolted a jig onto the front pontoons limiters to keep the broken axle from allowing the pontoon to fall off , worked great ! After that was fixed the cat would not start due to the rats nest of wires that the Thief had entangled. Luckily the Nottingham step in with their mechanic and test light. We got the mother tucker out that night but it was late. :boxing:

Day 3 of the Colorado Snowcat Jamboree Montezuma... (aka Little Alaska)

Montezuma is where the BIG boys come to play. Brian busted trail early in the morning with the Prinoth HD Trooper. Even after Brian tracked it out it was quit the sidehill most of the way in. 4 died hard snowcats made it to the bowl.John linder in his Prinoth trooper,Brain Scarborough in my Prinoth HD trooper, Travis & Torry Nottingham in their 1544 Tucker and The Tuckers with full crew in the Freighter. The day consisted of lots of hill climbs and Cat skiing couloir's. We all had bacon wrapped lobster tail as is tradition on the third day with chevichie from Travis 5 start chef friend. I guess he owns several restaurants in Vail. It was a great day for us..... Others not so much

We ended up being First Response that day to a snowmobile Hill Climb accident. We were all gathered around the fire when we heard the Roar of a nice skidoo powder sled Buzz past us. At the time we didn't know but the female rider was heading for the top of the cornice via one of the couloir's . She almost made it! At the very top she lost control when her shoulder came out of socket. We all watch this with deep anticipation of what was going to happen. Her sled rolled over top of her and dragged her towards a cliff. She was able to stop herself right before she drooped over the cliff. Her sled toppled over the edge Landing with a big crunch then cascading to the bottom of the bowl. The women's husband went around to the top and the proceeded down towards her. I was able to meet them about three quarters of the way up and bring them a sled. The woman's husband and me walked her down the slope step by step until we were met by another group that took over the strenuous activity. the Lady pulled her arm out of the socket and when the sled went over her it broke two of The Wing Bones on her spine. We were able to get her loaded up in Travis's cat and her kids loaded up in John's Prinoth. They got out and made it to the hospital safe. She posted this on the Colorado snowcat jamborees page.

' Thank you for pulling me and my boys off the mountain yesterday!! Don't know what we would have done without your help and the cats. Feeling blessed that you were out there yesterday! Shoulder is back in and the rest will heal up. Gunnar loved the snowcat ride.'
