Cheesy pigs in a blanket

I think a soft cheese like mozzarella will melt out too much, but harder cheese, something like an aged cheddar, mature swiss, or gouda would probably stay inside the dog better. Give more flavor too.
 
Grew up eating those. We always used cheddar cheese. They are awesome ... probably going to have to make some soon. I haven´t had them in a while.
