2023 Vintage snow cat Clowder

The Thursday outing is a new endeavor, it has a quite a few interesting items I can't share, but I can encourage you to use the fancy pants web site to register so we get you the info you need.

See you in the snow 14 day count down is loomming
Where do we find this fancy pants web site ? To register 😃

Hello there, We just booked the only available room we could last night and it's a double Queen. If any king size suites turn up available we would love to upgrade
@Thedogfather
Oh good! I was worried someone outside of the sno-cat group booked it last night. I'll let you know if a king opens up... or maybe if someone on this forum sees this and wants to switch, then they can let me know.

Also, I noticed you booked it via third party. I can get you a better direct rate if you want??? 🙂 But, you would need to cancel the other (which I can request for you) and I'd have to rebook it for you. I know some use those sites for points though so if you'd rather keep it how it is, then that's cool too! Feel free to text me on at our Lodge number: 906-932-3857 if you want to do this.

Cool ,thank you very much. Yes if it's not a pain we would love to cancel and rebook directly. The 3rd party was horrible. Could not speak English at all 😅 I'll txt you this week. Thanks

T minus 11 days…in case anyone is wondering how much time you have to get your cat ready!!! Remember it doesn’t have to be done, just dependable…or at least the ability to fix it on the fly…zip ties, baling wire, and duct tape are known to be fashionable accessories …:yum:

I glad I am not alone. !

I bit off way more than I could chew with this years snow-vehicle selection. AS stated above it is definitely time to go round up the vice grips and tie wire. ( I personally can do anything with nothing and prefer it that way ) there is a combined 58yrs of inactivity in the rigs I chose to bring to the clowder. correction, including the reclaimed cash for clunkers hauler i put on the road is 71yrs of sitting about.
prioritizing what can be done on the fly vs what needs to be done before we load up is one of the things I enjoy.
pop some popcorn depending on cell phone reception this years clowder should be entertaining for you well balanced normal people.

its all part of the experience.....cant have everything in life go as planned. Figure it out as you go and make it happen.

I’m doomed for a major failure…last years test run went all to well…unless you count my failure to post videos…then I’m screwed!

I had mine at the local sledding hill on Sunday. I lost count how many times I climbed that hill loaded with
kids and adults. Everything seems fine with the machine. It has been two years since any real running time has been
put on it. Looks like some more snow will be here when I get back from the clowder. That would be nice indeed!

I'm looking forward to my 3rd clowder! Dave and I will be driving over from MSP and hopefully skiing down the jump landing again! Yeah, we're those guys. No cats, just good times.
I printed up some "dash plaques" or "event placards" and will be selling them at the dinner. I've seen these at car shows and figured we need them for the Clowder! They've got 4 different phrases on them, so buy one or all 4! You can adhere them to your dash (if you have one) or rivet them to the sheet metal exterior, or even RTV it to your kid's forehead. Up to you. See ya there! First one to name who's cat that is gets one for free.

Exited for next weekend! Does anyone know if there are any weigh stations between Ashland and the event?
If you are using a semi tractor trailer combo, weigh stations won't be your problem. turning around where we load and unload will be. 8-)

according to the WI state patrol station number 72 is by superior WI. that is the closest.

I pull with a pick up and drive right by all of them regardless of state. ( ignorance and forgiveness )

If you are the sensitive type on jokes stop reading:

you have been warned

What happened to the " don't be a *nameless actor in reno*, Set the ebrake before you un-enter " I was pulling for that one in the voting?!

Sounds great thank you. Just a dually with a small goose neck. We live near that one near superior and they love their fundraisers $$

I follow redsqwrl‘s lead and pretend I didn’t see them, and if they do catch up, then I play the dumb farmer card…or cidiot; depends on what I’m hauling!!!:w00t:

Clowder participants are mobilizing. Levels of preparation vary. Each everyone expert in their own way!
