Rolled into Bessemer last night safe and sound. I totally appreciate the snow accumulation here in the U.P.! Only moment of stress was when we came across a freshly dismantled moose on the highway. We didn't see any vehicles around but it still provided a little pucker factor slowing down to avoid the largest body parts!

WOW, looks like some great cats there, wish I were there with the Frandee. Keep sending pictures, love to see all the activities and cool cats.

Very smart putting that strap across the hood of the kitten, that is how I travel now after my mishap coming home from Oregon.

As stated to a few folks at the Snow Cat Clowder, I managed to drop my camera at the cable gate on Friday and the snow was deep. Yes I looked and looked for it as I waited for everyone to pass, but had to give up and drive on. If anyone happen to get a photo of me on da boss, please post it. After the camera loss, I switched to my phone and will post photos as they are DLed and processed. Sure sorry about that...

If you attend with that Frandee next year, than we'll be sure to attend...

Well I just might then. I retire in December so I will have more time to travel. 1400 miles one way, not nearly as far as some traveled but still quite a ways for me. Maybe you should come to sun valley in a month, the Frandee will be there.

I got the few photos I captured with my phone processed and here is a sampling. Much fun was had by all. Oh and I seemed to have lost the charging system on the boss on our way back to Copper peak. So the battery warning prompted me to shut down all electrical usage. The motor would stutter terribly when going slow, but ran well if I kept it at higher RPM's. This is way I was passing folks on the last little stretch to CP. When I got it onto the trailer, the battery would not even click the starter solenoid.

More photos to be posted later.....

There is a frandee parked at a retired ski hill near us at Greenland MI. A few years go I posted photos of it somewhere in this forum. Oh I found it!

Thanks for the invite!

You should get that and restore it. I believe it is a model E but it has had the front differential cut out, would have to get one of those, from my experience you need all four tires driving, I think two would have to much slip. There are a few Frandees around, but most are camera shy, need restored, or just aren't used much I guess.

More photos taken during Friday's adventure ride to Copper Peak ski flying hill, then down to the lake shore bonfire. What a day to be in the snow! The 4th one is Pontoon Princess being interviewed by the TV station. That Abigail got into lots of our photos...

After some sleep I hope... :smileywac

What?? I’m good for a full day of snowcatting and a solid (but yawning) half a night at the bar after that drive, I can handle reading through the last few days worth of posts about the clowder while I let the coffee wear down a touch.

Too many stories to post, those are best rehashed next February 3rd-6th if my math is correct.

One cool thing about the clowder (and the other events) is you get to take the virtual online world we live in here and experience some of that stuff in reality.

Great people, snow, machines, experience.
