1967 ST4 Snowmaster trade in

Yellow for yellow, you can have the BR100+ if I can have the Spryte. Sounds overly fair, and very generous on my part. It is also a great deal for you as you will get one of your "beloved Bombardiers" and I will have to take that unsightly yellow Thiokol back to Wyoming and hide it from the Thoikol color control police. I will even trailer the BR back to you with all of the duct tape and bungee cords in place....Free of charge....:yum: Just let me know when it is ready to go!!!:thumb:

And by the way, the crap is all true......:moon: I am overly generous to snow cat dealers trying to get rid of their crappy old broken down snow trashed cats.....:4_11_9:

Yellow for yellow, plus a pile of green[/COLOR], you can have the BR100+ if I can have the Spryte. :yum:

And even then you not even covered materials, not to mention the labor. you have to remember this is not a typical " out west " paint it and its rebuilt :moon: besides all the liquids that went in to it. :drink: :yum:

Must be an eastern snow cat rebuild aka "a MN Dupont overhaul" with liquid body filler. :drink: Is that yellow color Bombardier yellow that you used on my Thiokol? :puke1: You just can't get away from your "Beloved Bombardier" affair. I will bring you an extra 6 pack of Bitch Creek Ale from Teton Brewing to cover your labor. I am getting the BR taped up and bungee corded together for the trip to MN. Here is your pile of green to go with the BR on the trade....:fart2: Just let me know when you are done painting....:yum: Your turn....:moon: :poke:

Boggie,

Do you still have any Snow Master "spare parts" left over from the parts-cat that was part of this deal? I'm looking for a few things...

Hunting was very good! Just got home. Sorry to hear about your cat, I hope he did not stow away. I will post pictures when I get started with the rebuild.

The way I assessed the value of a Snow Trac or Snow Master/Trac Master:As a "Parts" machine the 18 Wheels are worth about 100$ each, (1800), the 4 chives on the Variator cost about 500$ each to reproduce( another 2000), and if the Brass is good, another 700$. Though this adds up to more than 3000$, that was the limit of what I offered. It would be prudent to point out that the grousers are about 20$ each and that there are 180 of them and that they don't make Variators anymore. I would place the value of the variator at about 2000$. The most I paid for a whole, running machine was 6800$, in 1994. This machine appears fairly complete and I would expect to Buy or Sell it, as is, for 4 to 6 thousand. This is based on the 13 Snow Trac's, 3 Trac Master's, and one Snow Master that I've owned. Also I would note that due to the condition of: The Brass Sprockets, the front hood and Front bumper it is likey that this machine doesn't have that much mileage on it. what did the Hours meter show? And the Odometer? (Should be about a 2 to 1 ratio) I would guess less than 500Mi, less than 250 Hrs.

Closer inspection of the photo's indicate that it probably has higher mileage than my original estimate. I see the "Brass" in the cab is old used sprockets(Points for teeth), but that the fenders are exactly as they should be, not one snow track and one snow master. The grousers are straight indicating that it didn't get taken on hunting expeditions. They have cut off the outer belts, which negates the value of the hard to get Long grousers. If I still owned an ST4 of any sort I would snap this up for parts right away. Spare Hoods and Rear Doors are hard to come by.

Lyndon, You know if you wanted to own another ST4 the black and white
herford is still available and I would trade straight for your J5:poke: That is if Bill has not sold it yet. runs fine steers ok. needs adjustment steers better one direction tried to get the adjuster broke loose and tried some heat has not moved yet did not want to twist it off.tracks are good some weather check but very runable sprockets are good heater will cook you out of the 1.5 man cab. it really should be repainted red. allthough if you put next to a herford Bull he may try to make another.
