I would guess it's a A-727 Torqueflite. Borderline bulletproof, but not an Allison... And although I played an automatic transmission expert on TV, I am not one in real life....
 
the weak spot on the 727 is the planetary gear carriers are stamped and riveted they do make cast carriers which are bullet proof. remember the 727 stood up to hemmi's the 5 series Allison is only good to about 150 hp and less than 400 ft lbs of torque. the world transmissions are impressive they also have a computer.
 
Here's the pictures I received. It looks to have a decent size tranny cooler, not bad other wise. Major exhaust leak that burnt paint under engine or what? Tracks look good.

it's got the small tracks overall not a bad looking rig looking at that gas tank I would hate to fill that one up at 6 bucks a gallon
