WTS - Large Blade with hydraulics. Need help w/ Pricing

I have a large Valley Engineering blade (Model 1020) I would like to sell. It has a 10' main section and two 4' wings that are hydraulically actuated for 18 feet of blade. It has four main rams plus two on the wings. So 8 way blade? It seems to be in pretty good shape, but I have never used it. It's just a tad too big for my super imp. :yum:. There's some decent money just in the rams and hydraulic lines for other projects, but it seems a shame to destroy such a nice piece of equipment. Anyone have an idea of what a fair asking price would be? Located in the Tahoe area.

Any idea what kind of machine it was mounted too?? I see what look to be frame mounts but have to wonder that if it is for a specific cat, it would be worth more to the owner of that kind of cat....And there for give you a better chance to sell it rather than part it...

Regards, Kirk

it look kind of like the extra wide rear packer, I had one mounted on a 3700. It was great for doing ski slopes.

Now that you say that, i think that is exactly what it is... No cutting edge I noticed, now I know why. Also this is rear mounted to the tail end of a cat. I can see that now as well....

I think your right.

Thanks for the help guys. It's great to know what it came from. So if I understand correctly, this is used on the back of a 3700 to pack / move snow before grooming to corduroy?

it predated corduroy, by a few years.

Young skiers often have trouble skiing when the new snow is deep. The slopes are packed with groomers. If your groomer can cover 18 feet, it means less trips or you can cover more ground. It could work on a 2100 too.
