Not sure if someone can use it in a Snowcat of some sort but posting it here just in case.
It's located in W. PA.
Engine model: C5PF-6005A Ford 300CID. Name plate says NAT GAS but currently running on gas.
Pretty sure it's from 1971 or 1972.
History:
It's from an Onan 30EK genset. (30KW). It's still connected to the generator.
The generator head needs rewired and to me, it's not worth the cost. That's why I'm listing it for the engine.
No hour meter. Previous owner used it to power his lunchtime food truck. Not sure if he had it since new or if it was a stand-by genset.
I bought the unit in 2009 and it got put away, unused until last fall.
Last fall, I put $500 into the engine to get it running again. Just the basic tune-up and resurrection stuff to get it running again.
It purrs nicely and is governed at 1800 RPM's. If it sits for awhile (a few weeks), I need to tap the float area with a mallet to get the float unstuck. That's the only issue I know of.
It's on a trailer. Generator head still attached. Has 2 fuel tanks.
I have $2000 into the whole thing. $1500 initial purchase + $500 tune-up.
I'm open to reasonable offers for the whole thing or we can work something out for the engine only.
I can provide more pics and details if there's an interest.
