That one has Big Al written all over it too pretty to drive. i've always wanted one but just not practical for me up here

That is one nice looking ST4B boggie!

I hope it doesn't last long, my guess is that it won't.

Some one is going to be very happy with that rig. Needs lots of snow.

Regards, Kirk

I wish that one was mine !!!! Of course I am drunk on DR. Rums so what the hell do I know ...:w00t2:

Seriously beautiful cat !!!! If I did not already own two that one would be sold ..

Boggie , Do you want to trade a house lot in the Bahamas for it . Its in Nassua and very nice ??????

I am putting that same steering wheel in mine because I need the "dish" it offers to extend it a bit. Any idea which steering wheel adapter you used? The one I ordered is for a beetle and it's too big.
They only seem to order them by vehicle and I have no idea what vehicle my steering colum came out of.
Nice looking machine!

Nice looking machine!

That old steering wheel was machined and drilled and tapped to accept the new

This is my ST-4B. I got it a few years ago from Western Canada. I can deliver to as far as Denver, Colo. It is in North Western Vermont now. I am looking to get a MG YT that is in Denver, so I need to sell this. I have got more than the asking into it!!!
New track, seats, strip down paint job, Stainless steel fasteners, Custom Oak dash, new Old time qauges, steering wheel, Over sized head lights, backup lights, interior lights, etc. etc.
This is not for sale anywhere else, yet. Thanks For looking

Ok then...

For this price how "deep" did you go??

New clutch, brakes starter ect...Hour meter reading? A CN unit should have one...Has the engine been freshend up, and if so how? Did you do the bearing towers on the variator housings? And the seals on the out put shafts?

What about the suspension arm busings behind the rear wheels and the front boggie trucks? (I just made all new bronze ones for mine) notice any toe in on the rear tires? If so they need done....

Yes the paint looks good, but some folks are wondring here just what is under the paint and justifies the price asked.....

Could very well be worth every penny, but how can you tell without some background as to what has actually been done, other than paint and a new dashboard, lights ect.....Whats been done mechanically?

Regards, Kirk

Good questions. We started with taking everything off--sent it out to be stripped to bare metal and painted by a aluminum paint expert. The decking and under carrage was under coated, Rhino lined. Than all new rubber and Stainless Steel fastners on track. Filled tires with liquid rubber, rebuilt bushings on guide wheels. Sprokets and chains are in perfect condition plus we have spares. All new window rubber, new gas tank, all rewired, etc. etc.

As for the drive train we had a retired VW expert, check out the engine, and tranny. We put in new coil, plugs, plug wires, and did every thing that was needed. The clutch and variator were deemed fine.

As far as the hour meter goes, I don't remember what it said but I will check it out and get back to you. (the unit is not here)

I have a machine shop, and believe me everything that needed rebuilding was.....I had not intention of getting rid of this, but have a sudden need for and old MG YT and need to sell this first. Thanks again

If the hour meter is out, but still working, you might want to put it back in. Nothing finer for knowing when you need to do service. How would you know to change your oil in your car, if you didn't have an odometer.....

Plus it is the history of the machine recorded...and as such should stay with the old girl IMHO...:whistling:

Thanks, Kirk

Hi: The hour meter is still in the machine, it is that the machine is not here so I can read it. I can not verity if the reading is correct as the machine is nearly 40 years old. But the VW mechanic that tune the engine felt that is had been redone at some point.
