This maybe a little late in the game, but for those interested, we have one of LMCs listed on ebay. There is no reserve, and currently it's at $17,100 with 2 days remaining.

eBay Listing: 1992 LMC 1800

1133 Hrs
CAT 3116T Diesel 170 HP
8 Passenger capacity

We also have a blade available that we had purchased for this snowcat but never installed. It's been sandblasted and primed and we purchase all new hydraulic cylinders for it. It would need the hydraulic controls hooked up on the snow cat. Available $1000.

Re: WTS 1992 LMC 1800 For Sale

So you made the tracks into asymmetrical tracks? I have never seen an 1800 LMC with this type of tracks installed. Do you have the stock track system and metal J cleats that came with most of them. How do the aluminum v cleats and asymmetrical tracks work compared to the standard tracks?

Cat looks sharp but why are you selling such a nice looking snow cat?

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately, the snowfall in my area has been lacking the past two years and I'm just not getting the amount of work I used to, so I have to downsize. The cat is indeed very sharp, and runs great! Listing this cat wa really hard, but I finally sucked it up.

The tracks are made from cut-down Piston Bully aluminum grousers with custom cut belting that has the Piston Bully bolt spacing, but the LMC pitch. These tracks perform excellent in deep powder snow and, from my experience, are superior in traction and floatation over the stock J-style grousers that the 1800s came with.

I would have thought it would sell for more, it sat at $23655 for the last several hours, only to be sniped in the last 20 seconds of the auction for $100 more. Good buy. That's a very nice machine.
