WTS 1962 Kristi Kt3

I have been messing with this Kristi and continuing to work on some of the things that needed attention from being stored for who knows how long. I have all the lights working witch was mostly just a little corrosion on bulb contacts. One of the cylinders developed a misfire so I replaced plugs and wires and now runs smooth. I replaced coil and condenser gaped the points . I also wanted to post so I could try to put some videos. Can somebody tell me in there experience what is the best way to do that I am new to this so just learning. Thank you

Thanks for the question. I'm new to the forum use, so I'm sure I've made it a little difficult because I should have added to my first thread instead of starting another one.
Just so you know I started discussing this Kristi In the snowcat general information section of this forum, where I have posted several pictures after I was sure it ran and all of the functions were working properly it was also greased and checked fluids. I posted it as wanting to sell, as far as fixing it I am just making improvements if needed or as I test operate it.

I also put a couple of videos of my first run arounds on Rumble if you search Daisyifyoudo same as my member name they will come up I am still trying to figure out attaching a link . The first wts thread had information and stated I am asking $10,000 Thank you and sorry about the confusion.

Thank you Rover'n for putting the link to this video . This machine has set so long It needed some maintenance upgrades I noticed from the videos some smoke coming from the right exhaust pipe im thinking its unburnt fuel burning off from when I had a bad plug on that side loading up but we will see after I run it a little more.

Glad to help. You might show a brief video of the hydraulics in action. Here is a link to your original posting with images: https://www.forumsforums.com/threads/kristi-kt3.95174/

Good luck.

I still need to figure out the exact uses of the valves on the dash. I know they work because it changed the rear height when I opened them while tipping side to side but still not confident that I understand the full extent of there abilities . If I planned on keeping and running it I think I would strongly consider switching to electric over hydraulic unit for a couple reasons one would be to take the full time draw of turning pump with engine second would be the fact that with full time hydraulic pump rotation a leak in the right place could empty reservoir before you know it. I know either way there are pros and cons. And yes I will get a video of the hydraulics in action.

I wanted to post some pictures of my Kt3 doing the hydraulic tilt but first I would like to make some adjustments to the suspension slash ski action and was wondering if anyone had experience with these in that department ? What its doing is in the extreme tilt the side it leans toward the drive case and the rear torsion will contact the body and I don't understand the manuals instructions. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thank you

The two faucet-style handles are needle valves to hold the suspension. The right side controls the rear, the left the front. I usually open them only upon warmup when I am pumping up the system, oftentimes to get off the trailer. The front and/or rear of the chassis can be lowered, but there is not much call for that and it usually takes some time for the those valves to bleed down. Almost all hydro action is to tilt, such as leaning into a slope, or raising the chassis for clearance. Yes, upon full tilt the track will just touch the chassis on the metal patches. I open the valves to let the body lower for trailering or storage. Here is a link to Big Al’s site which has some diagrams and helpful info: https://www.forumsforums.com/threads/bigals-kristi-113-kt3-thread.33743/

Thank you for the reply and info I will definitely check out that link I was reading thru the manual off of chris's Kristi site and I had the impression that one could make a adjustment mechanically to prevent the contact but I was probably making a assumption. Thanks again Rover'n now ill go checkout the link

I am having trouble getting the link to attach....trying again. The video is of hydraulics in action

Well I told the buyer 10 and wasn't to concerned if I sold it or not since I had it pretty well ready to use granted it is hard to say how long before tracks will have to be addressed. He was fine with that price.

I had abasically completely tuned it up adjusted the valve and changed fluids also greased it thoroughly . I did also agree to do a few more things such as I have a starter I had purchased because the one on it sounded rough so I will put that on and waiting on a couple belts to put on.
