Hey guys, I am looking to buy 2 used flexitor arms/ axles for a 252 skidozer. Let me know what you have. I talked to mn outdoors and they dont have any used ones. My splines are wore out on my flexitor shells and I really dont want to buy new arms and weld to old shells. Let me know what you have. Thanks.

there is another member who also has a bunch of ski dozer stuff he is up in canada can't remember his screen name you may do a search for allisio 1000 transmission to find his contact info i know he was selling one last year around this time

thanks alot dds! I did the search and I came up with SIMON ALLEN. Hopefully that is who you were talking about because I sent him a PM.

you are right ive been run ragged lately and been having lots of brain farts simon was the guy. he may still have a source. my question to you bombie owners is are new ones not available as cammoplast has taken over the bombadier line of snow cats

Prinoth is handling old Bombardier parts. They just opened up a new midwest place only 25 mi. from me, and they told me they do sell new flexitors and arms. Call them about pricing, but it sounded like they have some kind of sale once a year, so it may pay to wait if possible.

A few of my flexitors and arms were damaged, and since they both needed replacement, I just opened the clamp area up some so they clamped well and welded them in place. I have already had to grind one loose, so no problem removing them. Until I can replace the parts, this will have to do.

Of course, my first winter with this cat is coming, so we'll see how it actually works out...

undy,

IF your front boggies are toed out I suggest a steel block with a heavy tack weld to the frame inside of the flexator, to support it, yet let is slide across the face of the block as it flexes. Toed out you risk loosing a track, and the tighter you make the tracks the more it will toe out....the worse it will get. This back yard fix will get you by for a bit longer...

Regards, Kirk

Kirk,

Already done! But thanks for mentioning that too.

Backyard fix or hillbilly mechanics, either way it's okay here. While I was rebuilding the carb recently, I broke the old accelerator pump linkage and had to bend up a new one. This past week we adjusted the valves by ear, and she's purring nicely now. It's old-school, but that's fine by me.

Cheers,
Paul

Don, we have the new ones here and for less than Prinoth. They come from England. He was looking for used to save some $ can't blame him for that.

There ya go. Good to know.

It's hard to imagine anyone having more expensive parts than Prinoth! I'll be calling you when the time comes Boggie.

Yes you are right boggie. I was looking for used to save on $. Money is tight and ive got some work to do to get her going. The main thing is getting a track. Rfx has a track, I just have to get it shipped from canada to ohio.
