WTB SnowCat

SnowCat1956

New member
Looking for a smaller snowcat. I’m new to snowcats. Needs to be a fixer upper. The price needs to reflect that after I’m finished fixing it I can break even in the future if I sell it. That is not including my labor. I probably need to connect to someone local that knows snowcats that I can spend some time with and ask some questions. I’m live in Corvallis, Oregon

Thanks for your help.

Randy there are a couple here in Alaska that are decent deals for ready to run snow tracs I also know of a bombie but the owner is pretty proud of it I also saw some where this weekend some imps for around 5 grand.

How about a Bombardier SW-48? SW stands for sidewalk plow. Usually powered by a Ford industrial 6 cyl., they can be found for relatively cheap money: $2000 -> $5000. depending on the condition of course, and work done to it. Parts are readily available, both new & used. This time of the year, you may see, depending on your location, municipal auctions having some in the auction catalogue. They may be a hot item though; snow's coming! My first snowcat was a SW-48 Had lots of fun working on it and doing my driveway when needed. Not a terribly good "floater" though in deep snow. Something to consider. Good luck!

You can try this gentleman Wade Osterloh <wsojmo@hotmail.com> 801-450-8143
He has a Thiokol 1200 that is stripped down to the ground attached is what it looked like before it was stripped down
