WTB: OC 12 axle

In search of a OC 12 axle. I recently acquired a DMC 1450. The machine is mostly complete, except for the rear end missing.
I am looking for a OC 12 straight axle. If I could find a housing, I'm pretty sure I could find the seals, ring & pinion, etc.
Thank you ahead of time for any information or leads.

Did you ever locate an OC12 rear end? I am no expert, but I don't know what you are requesting. The OC12 rear end I rebuilt has drop boxes, which came with two different gear ratio options. Your request is for an axel, but then you said the rear end is missing. Do yuou need a complete rear end, just the axel(s), axel housings, etc.

OC - 12 came with and with out drop boxes.
He needs a narrow OC 12 non drop box assembly. ( and sprockets )

Ok thanks. I am not very knowledgeable about these Thiokols yet, but I am learning. I rebuilt the OC-12 on a 2100 and switched to the higher gear ratio for the drop boxes, as it is used to clear snow from a road and not much more. I didn't think I needed more speed.

I am going through two running 3700 (A or B) right now and I have a 3700 parts cat. Started out by raising the cabs to find years of hydraulic fluid an pine needle build-up. Took a steam cleaning pressure washer to them and after a few hours they don't look like such a fire hazard. For the most part I am just changing fluids, replacing block heaters and the intake heater, fluid filters and about 50% of the hydraulic hoses. Lights and many of the gauges don't work, so I will need to look into that. I am having fun trying to figure out how each one was outfitted. Two of them have three motors/pumps attached to the gear drive box that must be connected directly to the output shaft of the AC engines and one only has two. All three have blades that are only 6-way, but two have a tilt function, while one has an angle function and not a tilt. I would like to modify two of them into a 10 or 12-way blade for clearing snow around a camp. I saw a member was selling a 12-way a few years ago, but he never responded to questions about it. I also noticed two of them have some kind of electric-over-hydraulic set up in the rear. I am assuming they must have had some kind of grooming stuff. I am going to look into mounting some kind of winch on one of them. If anybody has suggestions on what winches and winch set-ups seem to work well, I would appreciate any advice you might have.

I also help at a church camp with a 3700C. Recently took off all of the wheels and found there are three different wheel/bearing set sizes. Idler is the largest, but the other wheels have two different bearing sizes. I am trying to change them all to the same size for future ease of maintenance. I also notice the manual says to pump grease into the wheel hub until it comes out the front bearing, then put the cap on and pump more until it starts coming out the rear grease seal. I guess that fills that cavity in the middle with grease so water doesn't have a place to get in and sit. Next summer, I will attempt to remove the right rear brake and whatever to get to the shaft seal on the drive motor. It is leaking fluid onto the shop floor. Looking at the blow-apart diagram, there is a seal that keeps the fluid from coming out of the housing along the shaft. I guess I will find out next summer. Any suggestions or do you just need to pray for me?

The 3700C has the larger wheels now and is the asymmetrical track style. I have a lot of the shorter grousers, but I may be looking for a couple of extra wheels and the 54" grousers if anybody has some they might want to sell.

I attached a few photos testing the photo upload here and showing one of the cats pushing a huge pile of slushy snow, one of an area cleared, and one of a snowmobile trailer and snowmobiles that were buried in the snow that I didn't know about. Oh well, live and learn.
