A real nice fella named Brandon has 2 fairly beat up st4's with no tracks in Anchorage. They were in a fire but look mostly ok. I just got some insane ($3000 to move just 1) pricing for shipping to Colorado, Denver. That obviously does not work. I could use some help. Any ideas? Do you think grousers that have been in a fire need to be re-heat-treated?
Thanks again
Matt
I know of Brandon's the blue one wasn't in the fire but was close to it the pics I had it looked real nice. if Alaska logistics has a back haul that would be the best way to get it to seattle and would likely cost less that a grand and because ak logistics ships out of seward Brandon who is in Kenai could get over there with minimal time and expense. try to call Bill Emory 907 444-9070. your other option would be Sampson tug and barge out of anchorage to seattle, also north land services run line haul barges between anch and seattle. the back haul rates are great I used u- ship and got my Thiokol 2100 shipped between moss landing ca to seattle for $1500.00 I thaught that was a fair price. hope this helps you I can also give you contact info on the outfit that shipped my Thiokol if you don't want to use u-ship these folks are friendly and broker loads all over the us.A real nice fella named Brandon has 2 fairly beat up st4's with no tracks in Anchorage. also I don't think the grousers were in the fire rather the tracks he had already had built were. there was a lot of stuff stored out side there is another one in the same area for sale too it's pretty much ready to run and came out of Brandon's collection to. he's wanting quite a bit more for it.A real nice fella named Brandon has 2 fairly beat up st4's with no tracks in Anchorage. I must have lost my reply to this you can check with Bill Emory 907 444-9070 if Alaska logistics still have runs from Seward to Seattle that would be the way to go. Brandon could trailer it right around to Seward from his place in Kenai ,also you have options with Sampson tug and barge or northland services out of anchorage, they both run line haul barges from Seattle to anchorage all winter last quote I had for one of Brandon's rigs was about 500 bucks Seward to Seattle. I used u-ship to move my 2100 from moss landing ca to Seattle cost me right at $1500.00. I can also put you in touch with a broker that does ltl loads all over the us found them on u-ship. let me know if you need any other infoalso I don't think the grousers were in the fire rather the tracks he had already had built were. there was a lot of stuff stored out side there is another one in the same area for sale too it's pretty much ready to run and came out of Brandon's collection to. he's wanting quite a bit more for it.
