I live in Anchorage so shipping is of some concern so the closer the machine is to Tacoma,Washington the better, we really do not have a set budget it would just depend on what is being offered.

Yea thanks I looked at that a while back it was for sale down in kenai wonder why it is for sale again so soon, plus I think I would rather buy a 1404 or a 1450 one thing for sure I am kicking my a$$$ for not buying the one I was looking at from pretensions it was a 1450 with the strt six c4 and the OC12for 12,000 the only thing is the shipping was going to cost me a fortune plus it had under 500 hours oh well I hesitated and lost out.
 
Yes I did I almost did the deed from Peterson's the problem was shipping just to get the machine to tote located in Washington was around 1000.00 then there was the shipping to anchorage, it would have made for a very expensive snocat that is why I am looking for one in the northwest if I am going to spend extra money I would rather it go for a nicer snowcat.

I have bought 3 snowcats from the lower 48 and yes the shipping is expensive. My experience is you will have to look far and wide and be extremely lucky to find a nice 1450 Imp in Alaska. If you do it will cost about the same as if you bought it down south and shipped it up. They are out there but very rare. Goes for most snowcats in general, limited selection in Alaska. I've bought 5 in Alaska over the years and they were all rebuild projects. Very nice cats when I was done with them but took a lot of time and money.

There was a guy that had 3 of them and 2 Bombardiers at a used car lot in Soldotna last year and they looked nice in the pictures and ad but he wanted $25,000 each. About what I would expect to have into one if bought in the lower 48 plus shipping.

I'll keep my eye open for you.
