Wow....we just got about an inch of rain in 15 minutes! I couldn't see even 50 yards across the hay field. 50-60 mph straight line winds. Almost took the dog to the basement! :hide:

Glad to see you still have power there. Or are you running on generator?

It's heading towards the buckeye state.

Holy crap! I would have down in the basement in a heartbeat! And the rest of the country thinks the northwest gets alot of rain.....

All that rain stayed to my north. I left the office tonight at 6pm, it was warm and humid. As I drove south I started hearing Tornado Warnings for central Cook County (Chicago). My house is near the southeast corner of Will County (the county south of Cook). I passed through some rain, but it was never very heavy and by the time I got down to the house the rain had stopped.

The western sky was actually clearing, but the sky to the northwest (toward Dave's house) was still looking mean and ugly.

Bone - we get drizzly rain non-stop for days and days, weeks and weeks, and sometimes months and months. But rarely do we get storms like they do in the midwest and the south. I was amazed at the downpours and lightening storms in Florida when I lived there. They are intense but they are often over in an hour or two. In some cases they are over in minutes.

Oh, I just saw your post. Hey, we didn't have any wind with our 6" deluge yesterday evening though. The problem now is that we've had 1.76" of rain since that 6" dumping and are expecting another 4" still.

Now, where did I put those ark construction instructions....?
