An aquaintance of mine is vehemently opposed to me putting a 3ph hydraulically drivin wood splitter on the back of my B7800 for the following reasons:
1. That machine does not have the necessary gpm to drive a splitter that will perform fast enough to make it worth it
2. If the splitter is attahched to the tractor, you will have to disconnect EVERY TIME it in order to move the wood you just split (this assumes you are using a trailer or other thing to put the chord wood into)
3. Says it's better to have a splitter with it's own motor and own hydraulics becase of 1 and 2 above.
What are the opinions of my fellow FFers?
