winch anchor

i don't know how much snow you are dealing with i would suggest a broken truck axle with a point sharpened on one end drivin through frozen ground that's the best anchor ive found fo up here in the permafrost the problem with doing it that way with a snow cat is you will be pulling down in to the snow if you don't have another machine to anchor too i would try for a tall tree where you can pull up instead of down.

what the slope and snow condition when using the pullpal?

It seems to be the deep powder and steep slope where Im at risk.

5 feet dry powder and 25 degree slope or more.

thx for all the feedback.

a day getting stuck on the mtn... is better than one at home doin nothing...

from searching further on the internet, it appears the pullpal anchor systems work and the knock offs don't. I couldn't find any reviews on snow, so sportsman is our best bet for an update.
