I'm in the YES group, but it is possible he has some incriminating evidence on Hillary and some tragic accident may happen if has another disastrous performance.

I believe it was Dick Morris who said he hasn't got a snowball's chance, he knows it, the entire party knows it, so he'll pull out soon.
Fingers crossed, enough already.

There are enough TDS voters out there who would literally vote for Biden in a casket over Trump to provide a sense of popular support to keep Biden in the race. And then there's the fact that his inner circle keeps telling him he's fine. Biden won't bow out. He'll lose spectacularly, don't get me wrong, but he'll stay in the race.

...He'll lose spectacularly...
I wouldn't count those chickens too soon. See: John Fetterman, and the Dem propensity to vote for vegetables.

Only 2 ways Brandon goes away before November:

1. The Obamas/Shumers/Pelosis of the world convince him to. "You're an American HERO, Joe - you beat Trump last time! But you need to do the honorable thing & step aside, because all our data show we'll lose with you on the ticket." Maybe they sweeten the pot with a ton of cash. Or maybe they threaten him. "It'd be a shame if Hunter went to prison for 20 years, Joe. You know we've buried most of it. But maybe it won't stay buried. It could really be unfortunate if it all came to light..."

2. Kamala & the cabinet knife him with the 25th.

Either way, it'd be Kamala on top of the ticket; the only Dem who polls worse than Brandon. The Dems' allegiance to DEI won't let them step over an Oppressed Black Victim With A Vagina™. Not to mention she's the only one who can use any of their campaign cash. Still, DJT - to a lesser extent - is tainted by the same stigma as Brandon: he's ancient. Any Dem not pushing 80 has an automatic leg up that Brandon can never achieve. Brandon staying put is Trump's best shot.

I agree that it's good for Trump (and the country/world IMHO) if Biden stays in the race, because Biden will lose. If he was going to be pushed out of the race, whether by the major lib players or via his cabinet pushing for the 25th, it would have already happened. There was a moment when the momentum was moving against him and some Dems were jumping on that train, but that momentum has been lost, and now it's going in the other direction. Jerry Nadler is a perfect, and quite humorous example of one of those Dems who jumped on the "replace Joe" train just days ago, but then jumped off again and is now supporting him.

Hmmm....

Two of the Democratic Party’s most powerful and popular personalities have assumed quiet, behind-the scenes roles as elements of the party maneuver to push President Joe Biden out of his faltering reelection bid.
They include former President Barack Obama, who was in touch with Hollywood icon and Democratic donor George Clooney before the actor published his buzzy and brutal NYT op-ed Wednesday calling on Biden to step aside as the presumptive nominee.
The two men, who are friendly, both attended the L.A. fundraiser Clooney referenced in his piece, where he said he’d beheld a diminished Biden and that the leader he had interacted with was “the same man we all witnessed at the debate.”
While Obama did not encourage or advise Clooney to say what he said, he also didn’t object to it, people familiar with their exchange said. The lack of pushback came despite the former president stepping out as one of the first big voices defending Biden following his abysmal debate performance last month — and as many of Obama’s former aides have emerged as some of the incumbent’s biggest critics.
A representative for the Obama team declined to comment.
Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, meanwhile, has been engaged in some more active maneuverings.
She carefully ironed out what she wanted to say Wednesday on “Morning Joe,” Biden’s appointment viewing — keeping Democratic leaders abreast of her intentions before she suggested on the program that Biden should quickly make a decision about whether he will step down.
Those comments were meant to serve as a subtle green light, one person close with Pelosi said, meant to encourage members to speak up about their desire to see change atop the ticket — and to warn Biden to reconsider staying in the race.
They had their intended effect: They reignited the debate over Biden’s viability on the Hill after a day where he appeared to have temporarily quelled the mutiny.
Furthermore, in private conversations with lawmakers, the former speaker has been forthright about the dire situation the party now finds itself in. She’s suggested to people that Biden won’t win this November and should step aside, according to a half-dozen lawmakers and others who have either spoken with her or are familiar with conversations she has had.

Watching Biden lie about Trumps position on NATO in the live press conference.

He has not fallen down, but he is looking a bit weak. He doesn't look vibrant. But maybe for his supporters he might be looking better than expected? He got distracted during the NATO / FINLAND discussion after talking about Poland.

I don't think he is doing great. But at least his skin is not totally white, so he is not looking totally sick. Not sure if this bit of performance art is good enough to save his campaign, clearly, at least this far into the press conference, it is not killing his campaign.

EDIT

Watched to the end....

He wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump if she was not qualified?
A reasonable amount of mumbling and stumbling speech,
Supporters were probably happy with his good performance.
Detractors were probably happy with his poor performance.
Doubt anyone's mind was changed if they are already decided.

But maybe people in the middle who heard about, but didn't watch the debate, changed their opinion based on tonight?

I think he survived the day.

Yeah, I heard him call VP Harris VP Trump, then looking at the faces of the members of the press was like 🙃😳
Then he called Zelenskyy Putin.
Cringe ..

Immediately after the press conference Dem Rep Jim Himes, ranking Dem on House Intel Committee, publicly tells Biden to step aside.

“The 2024 election will define the future of American democracy, and we must put forth the strongest candidate possible to confront the threat posed by Trump’s promised MAGA authoritarianism. I no longer believe that is Joe Biden, and I hope that, as he has throughout a lifetime of public service, he will continue to put our nation first and, as he promised, make way for a new generation of leaders.”

And the betting websites are showing Biden will be the likely nominee (at the moment):

BUT the vote is open until the Democratic Convention in Chicago actually nominates a candidate, so subject to change.

It'll be Biden. The Dem delegates at the convention won't change their pledge to him. What's fun to watch, though, is the civil war going on right now in the Lib camp. I hope it goes on for a while. The more they rip on each other, the better for Trump and Conservatives in general.

Democrats are a group of different factions that unite together for their 'greater good' while Republicans are a diverse group of different factions that generally fight each other and allow the Democrats to make progress their way. But I do agree, this is all fun to watch right now.

At the end of the day, of year, I have no idea who will replace him. However, I believe he will be historically credited for putting the first woman of colour in the oval office.

Kamala will be installed, as was he, to the office. Not by national vote, but a corrupted two party system that has created, and supports, the fourth branch of our government known as the "Deep State."

I also believe, she will not be re-elected in November. But that is, of course, not the point. Just like the election of Obama our first black President, (who wasn't really black BTW the way), Democrats will in the future claim, they broke the barriers.

He didn't face plant at the presser like he did at the debate, so maybe it was the soft landing he needed. Still, if his swing state numbers continue to tank, it wouldn't surprise me to see a full court press from Obama and the rest to bump him aside & let Kamalagobbledygook take the wheel.

Link: Biden's meeting with Democrats turns into disaster

President Joe Biden's latest effort to soothe panicked House Democrats Friday fell flat after he showed up late to a zoom meeting, skeptics couldn't ask questions, and one zoom attendee promptly came out against him...

...Biden was an hour late to an event that was 'tightly controlled,' NOTUS reported in a blow-by-blow of the bizarre session, following reports that Biden's cabinet meetings are also highly scripted. (Biden once again called from a prepared list of reporters at his press conference...

I think we're up to 20 congressmen & 1 senator - all Dems - calling for him to step away, along with virtually all of the woke media. Not gonna lie - the civil war underway on the left is the greatest soap opera of my lifetime.
