Why are all the threads getting locked in this section.
Today I typed out a nice, long, in my opinion great post, and when i hit send, it was locked.
Now I see more are being locked.
It doesn't make sense.
 
Well, if Facebook and Twitter can do it with impunity, so can we. :)

Honestly, I have no idea what is going on except that I've had no problems like you describe. Doc will see your post and try to fix it for you or try PMing him if you can still do that.
 
it is not an infrequent occurrence that new people sign up and in short order become exceptionally obnoxious.
the bad posts get deleted, the poster gets banned and the thread gets locked.
unless you are on-line 24x7, you may never see the offending material / behavior.

there are people who enjoy walking into a place a creating as much hate and discontent as they can -
topics/sections like sex and politics are especially prone to that problem.
