Why I will not become a Muslim

After PBinWA's post about the Suicidal left I started reading some of the other articles on the The American Thinker website ( http://www.americanthinker.com ) and I came across a trio of articles that are pretty interesting.

The author is laying out - in detail, at length, and with backing references why he will not convert to Islam ( he makes reference to Muslims badgering him to convert).

They are definitely worth a read if you have a little bit of time. If you haven't read anything like this before it might open your eyes a little.

I read a good chunk of it.
I think just the bolded subject lines (all 25 of them) provide ample reasons as to why one would not want to convert (or even join). Many of them are quite brutal.

After reading the 25 subject lines although I didn't delve into the references I too would never have an interest in converting to Islam.
Seems midevil to me.

I think it is worth reading stuff like this because it lays out - with real valid reasons and historical fact - that much of what is spouted about Islam is just bs designed to mislead about it's true nature. PBinWA's original post about liberals being Muslim apologists and the references to Al Gore's speeches in the Mideast seem quite a bit worse once you read the truth about Islam.

Wow, I'm just glad that I could spur a little thought on a subject matter that I thought was interesting and accurate. This is another good find from the site.

I grew up with some Ismaili (sp?) Muslim friends and they were truly some of the nicest people. I would hang out with them after church and even go to some of their church picnics where I was the only white guy. They had lots of fun making comments about the white guy.

I think their are sects of the Muslim faith that are "good" and their are those that are "really bad". I also think the same thing can be said of christianity and most religions.

I think the bad rap Christians get from the mainstream media and the "left" (I know who they are even if they don't think they know who they are) is truly a tragedy. Mainstream moderate Christians (Presbyterian, Catholics, Methodists, etc.) do so much good for their communities and members that I find it truly sad that they are often victims of blanket persecution. Of course, the same can be said of the blanket persecution of Muslims.

The left's drive to undo history will be it's own downfall. You know what they say about people that don't learn from history.
