A 17-year-old mother from Derby has defied medical expectations by bringing her triplets home from hospital early.

Carlie Roberts' three sons Bradley, Alfie and Scott Junior were born nine weeks prematurely on 4 September.

Ms Roberts also has a 15-month-old son, Harley, and lives with her partner Scott Handford, 24, who has two sons from a previous relationship.

Being a mother-of-four at 17 has brought Carlie Roberts plenty of publicity - not all of it complimentary.

She said of her critics: "It's got nothing to do with them. At the end of the day they don't know me.

"And with Harley, yeah, it was an accident, but once we started the family, obviously we finished it!"

"As soon as he's saved up enough money for a seven-seater car, we'll be able to go out and get the shopping," she added.
