Who would have thought ....

BigAl

Gone But Not Forgotten
I'm 57 years old .

As someone said the other day , I been kicked ,bitten, stung, beat up , ran over, shot twice , fell in and outta love too many times , gotten fat , and almost died in the jungles of Panama . Those were the good parts .

Boy am I a lucky guy !!!!! Each and every one of the above events has made me who I am today . I take nothing for granted . I live life to the fullest . Sometimes it is a struggle to get outta bed . Tomorrow is another day , another adventure .

Will tomorrow be my last one on the face of this old earth ??? Who knows . Death will have to catch me . I am not waiting for it as my Father did .

My kids think I may be crazy . I hope so .
I like being a little crazy , it keeps me from going insane .

It took me 57 years to become a kid again . I like the feeling .
I don't have time for mistrust . I like to give people the benefit of the doubt .
Trust seems to be a forgotten trait in people .I want to help bring it back in style.

Yes I have been proven wrong before , but sometimes I been proven right .

I don't know where my life is headed . Its been a interesting ride up to now .

There were times when I did not have 2 pennies to rub together , Its funny how I can now only remember the good times back then .

How things have changed .

Some for the better and some for the lessons learned .

I can honestly say that I am happy ......

I can honestly say that I am happy ......

That's a good attitude Al. :flowers:

May I?

I have been through a lot of happy and more sad times in my life.
I've lived in many states and countries and never knew what a real home was until I was 11 years old.

I lost my Dad and two sisters and a niece all within a very close time frame.
Then my second husband and my mother, and now have a sister who is very ill.

My sons only speak to me now when they need something. I've got a lot of friends who I can rely on more than family.
Seems like every time I think I am going down the road to no more worries, something else always comes along.
Doesn't stop me from being positive or hoping it's always going to get better.

I've got a faith in God that is stronger than any of you would ever imagine, and it's practiced too.
Like you, I never know what tomorrow is going to bring, but I say bring it.
Nothing much scares me anymore or shocks me (well not much).
I have been both wealthy and poor, so I know what both sides of that means.

When I die, the only thing I want to be known as is the best friend and mother my sons could have ever had... and someone who really cares about people and notices everything in life.

I've learned a lot of lessons at age 50, but am willing to learn more about the world around me, and myself....... every single day.
