Who should Trump pick for VP choice?

I think odds are favoring either Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Ohio Senator JD Vance or North Dakota Governor Doug Bergum, but I'd still think it would be tactically smart to bring in former Hawaiian Democratic Congresswoman, now Republican and FOX News contributor, Tulsi Gabbard.

She is, obviously a woman, and the female demographic generally is not favorable to Trump. She is also a non-white, which again, for the identity politics crowd is another bonus.

Gabbard is very smart. She can debate, and has fully beaten down Kamala Harris, on stage, in debates. She is a non-internentionalist on foreign policy, which is very similar to Trump. Neither are isolationists, but nor do they favor getting into wars, both seem to favor the speak softly but carry a big stick approach to foreign relations. Gabbard will play well with the voters who are not huge fans of Trump.

Odds of him picking Tusli Gabbard are probably under 20%

Trump's base wants Ron DeSantis (based on polls) followed by JD Vance (again based on polls)

Trump likes Bergum, but he is generally unknown, even is very smart.

But should Trump pick someone to please his base or to EXPAND his base?

Guess we will have the answer soon as the GOP convention will be kicking off in Milwaukee starting July 15 and ending July 18

I think he should go with Desantis. That may give the GOP another 8 years after Trumps win this fall.

I think that both DeSantis and JD Vance would give the GOP another 8 years after Trump so both are pretty compelling. DeSantis is not very exciting, but if you look at his record in Florida he did some great things.

But I also think that we need to get Trump over the finish line and Gabbard might be able to do a better job of that. And if Trump is smart, which I think he is, he would put DeSantis, Vance, Vivek Ramaswamy, plus Ben Carson, possibly outgoing Virginia Governor Younkin and a few others into very key positions that would set all of them up for a GOP legacy for the next 8 years.

Rubio brings a lot to the ticket, including the Hispanic community. But I like the idea of Tulsi Gabbard. A woman, a veteran, smart as hell and a good campaigner.
She may well attract mde5rat Democrats, but surely, she would be very palatable to independents.

We do really need a "w9oman" VP as much as we need to suite those who believe identity politics is somehow helpful.

I also like Tulsi for VP That would be the best option from what I've seen. Most of all I hope it is NOT JD Vance.

I would go with Gabbard if I were Trump, but the other choices would be good too. Doesn't really matter who he picks for the sake of the election, though, as he's going to stomp Biden regardless.
