Don't rub it in Dog ! I will track you down and dump snow down your pants !!!

I am trying to stay pissed . Please be respectful

It's been hot and sunny up here. No rain in a week or so. Been outside working on the tan while getting ready for this weekend's camping/fishing trip.

The weather was nice here today for the most part. Temps were in the high 70's. It was sunny but there were cloudy intervals when it looked like it might rain but nothing came of it. Have I mentioned the wind before? Well, it was blowing again today but it was really strange. There would be almost a flat calm for about 15 minutes and then a 30 mph gust would come out of nowhere. It would stay windy for about the next hour and then it would die away to nothing again, waiting for the next gust to come through. This wind has got way beyond being a joke. I'm tired of it but not tired enough that I'm willing to swap it for snow. :yum:

Has not been anything but wet around here. After a week of dry weather it was just getting nice and now we are having a week of rain again. Hard to get fields planted with puddles in them.

No, honestly!

After looking at the forecast the only possibly sunny day is Saturday and then rain again all of next week. May just mount up the big tiller and try to till the muddy ground. Some things are going in today and Saturday even if it is muddy.

Well planting anything today is out of the picture as we have severe storms with flash floods moving in right now. They are coming from the south after flooding Harrisburg,Pa. early this morning. We can expect an inch or more of rain real quick in the next hour or two.:hammer::hammer:

Muleman, you know if you till muddy ground you'll just make a big mess. It'll end up being a waste of time and fuel.

Yep. Do you know of any 60 day sweet corn? At this rate we will be lucky to get a late harvest to put up for the winter. Too late for peas so we will plant some in late July and August for freezing. Frustrating not being able to plant. There is a lot of farmers in the same shape. I saw many fields with puddles in them yesterday on the way to Cooperstown. Thunder and storm are beating down now.

Same rain here. It's rained all but 3 days in the last month. Garden isn't in yet. I bought a 30x50' tarp and covered it so hopefully, all this rain will run off and I can get back into the garden once we have some nice days.

Bill - re. too late for peas, if my garden gets limited hours of sun (less then 8), do you think I may be able to plant now or will the heat just ruin them anyway?

You can try. My past experience it got so warm till they formed peas in the pods they just dried off. We usually have them planted in late April and they would be about 4-6 inches tall by now and ready to climb the trellis wire.

Yeah this is the best rant ever right now. Yesterday it was supposed to be warm and it was almost like an October November night with the wind all day. It's really strange this year

Al, I hate to tell you this but the Big Man is in charge and when you talk about about giving him an ass kicking, I always remember what my ol' daddy used to say, "Son, never fight out of your weight class".:biggrin::biggrin:

Take it and live with it, You can always bitch but you can't change it.

No need to worry about planting more stuff for a couple of days! Towns around here are going to be cleaning up the mess from the storms that went through Thursday evening for days and weeks. Lots of folks will be lucky to have power restored by Sunday. We got a lot of rain but no real damage other than some trees knocked down in my woods.
