Where does your dog sleep ........

Where does your dog sleep when you go out for the day. I caught mine where she didn't belong, when she didn't hear me come into the house..... You can barely see the folded ear of the Dachshund under the covers with her. That is where she learned to get under the covers..... from the Dachshund.....

Thats why mine stays in a crate..:D ... She likes it that way anyhow... Dont think she has ever been on the bed long enough to get comfortable..

When I was single the two dogs were in the bed with me (not under the covers). The wife came along and chased them out. Heck, she has almost chased me out of the bed too. I've got about 1/3 of the bed to myself and some nights she is pushing me farther over.

She's out of town this weekend so the pack will be back in the bed. As long as the sheets get washed before she comes home then I'm safe!

;)

My girls sleep in this two story, 160 sq foot "dog mansion" as my wife calls it. My wife also wants to know why the dog house has James Hardie siding with a 50 year warranty plus a metal roof, but our house has peeling paint and leaky shingles:whistle: .

When we're gone, he sticks with sleeping in the recliner or the bathroom floor if he gets hot. He's got long hair and gets warm quick. When I go to bed he's right there. I need to shove him out of the way to get my 20% of the bed. Within 5-10 minutes he gets warm and heads for the bathroom tile floor.

Una sleeps on her very own porch. Spike usually sleeps outside the bedroom door. And Ernie, my version of crap weasel, sleeps with Jan on her side of the bed.

Upnorth, it's a different story. Una has a couch to herself, and Spike and Ernie sleep on the bed with us. I guess it's a version of two dog night. No Dave, not the same thing!!:tiphat::beer::beer:

If only one of us is in bed, then Allie is right up on the bed with her head on a pillow. If both of us are in bed, she's laying on the floor next to the bed. When I get up to go to work, Allie immediately jumps in and takes my place. When I sleep in on Saturdays, Allie starts whining around 5:00 am, because she's expecting me to give up my place for her!

During the day, while we're both at work, she lays on the bed because she has a clear view of the driveway so she can watch for us to return!

She has a crate that she rarely uses, but occasionally she decides she wants to be alone and will go in there to get away from all of the stress in her life (e.g. the vacuum cleaner).

Crapweasel sleeps on the bed next to the lovely Mrs_B.

Misha sleeps in "her room" which is the spare bedroom, she curls up on the floor between the bed and the wall. Sometimes she sleeps on the marble floor in the bathroom when she is hot, the stone apparently cools her body.

When it was just my one dog BOURBON he would sleep inside during the winter. He would sneak away in the middle of the night from his dog bed in the corner of our room and go lay on the couch in the living room. It was a little battle back and forth for about a year. If he would hear me get up he would try and quietly get off the couch. Sometimes I would catch him and send him outside for a little while (he hates being outside from his family). During the summer my son and I built him a 5x5 area in one of our sheds on the property and filled it with used pillows and blankets and dog beds. He has wall to wall comfort. Then my son adopted two other dogs. We named them Whiskey (male) and Brandy (female). It got to much in the winter to have three full sized dogs in the house. (they grew up very fast) Anyway we went and modified Bourbons dog house to hold all three (easy since it was already big enough) but also added insulation the the walls and ceiling. We then wired in a dog bed heater that keeps the beds nice and warm. Only a few times I have brought them in when the temps dipped down into the -20s and -30s. Other than that they are quite comfy and even with those temps they would be fine. I went out there one night and found them all under the many wool blankets we had in there. It was pretty funny.
