Whats with this weather ???

BigAl

Gone But Not Forgotten
Ok , debate time . Whats with this weather ??? I have never seen so much rain/snow ,so late in the winter as I have this year in Northern Calif. In other areas they are having severe dry spells where they usally have rain this time of year . Texas /Oklahoma for example .The storms are just lined up forever!!! The ski resorts plan to stay open through July , for cryin out loud!
So .... Is it global warming ???? Bush says "No" . I say "yes"

I think earth is just returning back to it's normal state from the ice age.. which means rising temperatures.. more moisture in the air.. and more frequent & violent storms ahead. As the waters in the oceans rise.. more earthquakes will occur while the earth tries to re-balance itself.

I think mother nature will teach all on this earth a good lesson.. instead of fighting each other.. we will be fighting to save our lives.

Did you ever see that movie, "The Day After Tomorrow"? I thought it was pretty cool, but the political bashing was just nauseating! Even as a more-liberal-than-you Canadian who values the Kyoto accord and fears global warming, I found it trite.

The sun is burning hotter, so it's no wonder the temps may be creeping up a bit.

Maybe so.
I would have thought that changes would have been more gradual if the sun was burning hotter. These changes have occurred over a period of only a few hundred years.

I agree ! I think it has a lot more to do with global warming . The U.S. Admim. has just stuck its head in the sand and says there is no connection . I say BULL ! Weather does not change like this in 50 years unless something is screwing up "Mother Nature". Maybe a 1000 years ,but not 50 years.

Let's see here. We have added billions of people, millions of cars, millions of factories, cut down the rain forests, polluted the hell out of the earth. Sooner or later something has to give. People caused it, people shall swim in it.
