for some reason air ride suspension popped into my head and it will not leave. i wonder if this has been done?

i believe it could be done using the christie suspension design use air air bags in place of springs the big problem would be space torsion bar get my vote but they aer heavy.

ps christie suspension was develiped by walter christie and should not be confused by ktisti (krutsy) snow cats.

it has been done and works very well some of the Bombardier B12 buses have been modified using air bag units and shocks and they do ride well....

that would make for an interesting outing.

Its portable Too . I built a special opening just for it to be stored in . It sits in the raised self behind the seats .

I've also seen snowmobiles with inline machine guns and 20mm cannon. Fun to fire, but be prepared to go backwards.

Boggie do you have any pics of the air ride on the B12 ?? Did they use the short double convalescent bag like the ones used on lift axles on the tractor trailers...

They are not that big. I will see if I can dig up a photo...... it is on a couple of computers back so it will take some digging. if you go to Prinoths website and look at what they are using on the new SW48 or what they now call 4VS
it is almost the same.
