I'm freshing up the paint on my thiokol 601 and I have some black rubber parts, particularly the trim around the windows that has old paint overspray on them. Any one got some good tricks to cleaning this up. I really don't want to get into replacing them until I do a more extensive restoration.

I use hand cleaner (Fast Orange or Go-Jo) to clean rubber up and remove paint and such.

A coat of Armor-All or similar to give it a shine if you want.

one thing i did forget is dot-3 brake fluid will lift paint you have to be careful as it will also lift thhe paint off the body
