Hi, everyone I am new to this forum and glad to see its full of interesting topics and info, I have been thinking of get a snow cat, but not sure what to get, I am a big guy 6'2" and 300 lbs so I need to be careful of what I buy, I like thiokols. A super imp is probably to small, thinking a 1201 c st. Any help on the topic would be great. I fabricate and modifying is no problem, what will go better a super imp wt or a 1201 st. Thx

I would take imp, super imp and any half door 1200 series of your list, unless you want to convert the 1200 to a full door.

The 4t and 600 series are very comfortable and easy to get in and out of. 1200 can be geared low and slow or high and fast . The 1500 is nice too.
 
I have sat in a half door 1200, if that's what I buy it will get the doors modified , what model will perform the best ? . The weight difference is significant, I am told that the 1200 st will be better even in deep snow. Not a lot of older cat owners around here to talk to. I like the idea of a super imp for the weight savings. Performance is big also
 
I like the wt 1200 too. I prefer them with high gearing for speed . I would be happy with any of them , but prefer automatic trans.
That 601 on ebay (with the bad engine) would be sweet with a turbo diesel and automatic trans. Maybe a set of asymmetrical powder tracks for the deep snow we used to get around here.
 
look at ebay there is a few new ones posted. The spryte might work for you #231430691586 and #231430687967
 
Thx for info, I have looked at them, but looking for a bit newer, I would really like to hear if there is a big difference in performance between a super imp or Spryte. C model

The super imps preform very well but like tomelroy mentioned if your a big guy
The cab on the spryte c model would be a better choice of the two
 
that or a more modern tucker a Thiokol 2100 has a pretty roomy cab for one person but that is all you want to squeeze in there and they aren't really friendly for transport
