I found this in a guy's yard last year when I went to look at an old Tucker he had for sale. He had quite a collection, what model is this and is it worth anything? Good & bad about it. Thanx:unsure:

Hey that's the blue one in Alberta right? :yum: I lost the guys phone number could you send it to me in a PM. I think it's worth more than 500.00 :whistling:

that would make a good start to a project I would guess it too be worth around 3 grand. maybe a little less if I was able to get up on it. the boggie rocker bushings are wore out it does have the updated 1.6 l engine with fresh air heat so it will have plenty of heat . if the engine runs maybe a little more but it looks like it's been sitting awhile it's a pre 70 st-4 no inboard brakes and 2 band track 5 hole wheels at the rear it does look to be in pretty good condition.

Thanx, that's half what the guy wants for it. He said it runs good. If someone wants to follow up they can let me know, I'll pass on the info. it's in Britsh Columbia. He is the fellow that had a 1743 Tucker with Detroit listed on Kijiji a year ago for sale. It's still there also, good tracks, but thats all.

Snow Trac ST4 BTW....

I think he will get what he is asking if it is a runner. Clean striaght sheet metal every were you look. Used but not abused. Track belts aren't very old either. If this unit were sitting out on a snow bank and not in a weed patch, running with snow in the tracks I think you might be surprised that it maybe worth $6K or a bit more depending on the local market. I think the days of a running, decent ST4 being bought for $3K are over in the lower 48 states anyway. (If they have a clue anyway) Clean it up and paint it well replace the worn bushings and it could be quite a bit more, JMHO.

They are quite the machine, not hard to haul and can carry 5-7 poeple depending on size. Fast compared to a tucker so I have heard. Also quite good on fuel economy as well. 2,400 lbs aproximately. Some say they have a cult like fallowing, and I think they are right. Many still running after all these years is a good sign. My bet is if this were advertised here there would be many lookers in a very short time. And it would probably sell too.

I gave the price as if I were to to buy it with out looking being able to play touchy feely with it, if it had a battery in it and a guy could drive it around it would likely bring double. As Kirk has stated it is a great starting point needs a little tlc but is pretty much un molested. one also has to consider what shipping is going to cost a guy to get it home that would for me be more that it's worth.

I don't have any experience with these but when I look at the photo of the tracks the grousers look like there's not much left to them. The center portion (width-wise) looks like it's pretty much all worn down and the outsides have maybe 1/4" left.

Are Sno-Trac grousers that shallow?

The center 3" are worn down some. The owner added blocks there are not original. The rest of the grouser is about right...So yes they are pretty shallow even when new.

Regards, Kirk

that' normal for the 2 band snow tracks if you look closer you will see where there have been ice cleats welded in about every 4 th grouser.

pictures don't show everything but what I see it looks like a fair price did you get the number of it?
