What is wrong here?

Gone But Not Forgotten
On this day 34 years ago the wife would snuggle with me and then get up and make me a nice breakfast. Now she lays around and waits for me to have her coffee ready and the hot tub all opened up and waiting for her! I have to carry her cup and mine while she hangs on my shoulder for support till she gets awake and functioning. This was NOT what I envisioned when we ran off and got hitched up. But I still love her after all these years and that is what matters!:brows::clap::clap::clap:

Guess for our anniversary we will can up some more tomatoes! Hell of a way to enjoy the day but they just keep coming ripe. We will be eating good this winter.

Congrats to you and the Mrs Muley. Many happy and healthy years ahead for you together. FWIW, I knew then what I know now, I would have gone in the Seminary.:yum::yum: (Can you tell my wife ain't on FF?)

Congrats to You & the Mrs Bill . Never makes much difference to the wife & I what we do , as long as we do it together . Cannin maters together all day sounds like a great day to me

Congrates Bill. Dang you have to admit though Bill your wife has to be a good women to have to put up with you for 34 years. This world needs more of them.:whistling:

Congradulations, Mulie! For what it's worth, my wife and I made 19 years, yesterday, so we've got some catchin' up to do here.

Things change over the years, but, it's gotten to be like a favorite tractor. Little leaky, makes a strange noise now and then, but, it's comfortable and dependable. I wouldn't trade 'er for a new model for love nor money.

(BTW) My missus doesn't belong to FF either, or I'd have had to leave that tractor comparison out. )

After twenty plus years the only thing that has changed is my first name.

Congrats Muleman and my condolences to the wife.

We're just behind you at 32 years. I tried to trade her in during the "cash for junkers" campaign but even the government wouldn't take her. Smart move on their part, perhaps the only one. I still love the ol' gal and she still tolerates me. It works for us.

The tractor references are very valid. My wife isn't a member here either.

Happy34th Muley, and Mrs. Mule. She needs to lay off on the 2x4 though, or else you'll be as squirrelly as Galv.

Well neither one of us felt like canning more tomatoes today. So we did just like we did on the day we got married. Went out to lunch and just got in the car and went cruising the mountains. Ended up taking her down to a Pa. state park called Hyner view. It is well known for hang gliders taking off for a ride out over the west branch of the Susquehanna river. It is a breathtaking ride as there is one stretch with over 11 miles of continuous guard rail. We went all the way to the top and got some pics, then I went back out through some old hunting roads I knew from years back. Took her back down the seven mile road to Pine creek and we came up the valley for 28 miles then over a few more mountains to the county seat. They have turned the old railroad into one of the most spectacular rail trails you could ever imagine. Was a great day for both of us to just kick back and relax for a change.

You know the day we got hitched was a beautiful warm day like today. We wished we would have had the camper but those roads are so narrow in spots you have to hug the rock wall or the guard rail in a lot of places. They always have accidents during hunting season. Saw a guy with extended Ford mirrors get his ripped off a few years back. The road has been like that since i was a child. It is not practical to widen it with the cliffs and dropoffs so folks just go slow and it works out. The one downhill stretch has a 30 mph speed limit and 15 for trucks but nobody in their right mind takes anything wide down there unless they close the road. You have to cross 3 real single lane bridges and they are tight even with a pickup.

Bill,those are GREAT pictures!
Congrats to you and the beautiful Lady who has managed to put up with you all these years ;)

Reminds me of trips to Virginia and makes me miss all the rolling hills and dales of Yorkshire.

Great pics Bill thanks for sharing . That scenery sure makes me miss getting out & seeing all the perty country . Sounds like you both had a wonderfull day

Congrats. We are six years ahead of you. It just gets better.

Pretty scenery.

Dragonfly Lady and I hit our 40th on 10/4 :flowers: ... at which point we'll be in our third day of an 18 day, multi-island cruise to Hawaii. I promised her this trip right before our oldest was born (he turns 31 later this year) so I figured it was about time to pay up! :w00t2:

That is a wonderful sentiment, Cowboy - please pass along our thanks to your wife. However, we are traveling via Holland America and thus won't be able to take her up on this very generous offer. But do make sure she knows how much we appreciate this! :flowers:

Congrats to you, too, DS. I'm not going to let my wife see this thread. We bought a small fishing boat for our 40th. She might rethink the situation.
