This is posted in the SERIOUSLY SPEAKING FORUM, a forum for VERY CIVIL and VERY SERIOUS commentary, not jeering/yelling/insulting. So let us please consider the FACTS as we are aware of them.

GIVEN KNOWN FACTS: What would be justice in Ferguson?

http://danaloeschradio.com/alleged-friend-of-officer-darren-wilson-offers-his-side/

Here’s the transcript:
“He pulled up ahead of them. And then he got a call-in that there was a strong-arm robbery. And, they gave a description. And, he’s looking at them and they got something in their hands and it looks like it could be what, you know those cigars or whatever. So he goes in reverse back to them. Tries to get out of his car. They slam his door shut violently. I think he said Michael did. And, then he opened the car again. He tried to get out. He stands up.

And then Michael just bum-rushes him and shoves him back into his car. Punches him in the face and them Darren grabs for his gun. Michael grabbed for the gun. At one point he got the gun entirely turned against his hip. And he shoves it away. And the gun goes off.

Well, then Michael takes off and gets to be about 35 feet away. And, Darren’s first protocol is to pursue. So, he stands up and yells, “Freeze!” Michael and his friend turn around. And Michael taunts him… And then all the sudden he just started bumrushing him. He just started coming at him full speed. And, so he just started shooting. And, he just kept coming. And, so he really thinks he was on something.”

And below is a photo of the POLICE INCIDENT REPORT (which I also posted in the "Militarization" thread.

The transcripts above seem to destroy the media narrative that has been published over the past couple of days.

St. Louis Post-Dispatch. On Monday, the newspaper ran a lengthy piece titled “Michael Brown remembered as a ‘gentle giant.’” The piece, by Elisa Crouch, stated, “Teachers described Brown as a ‘gentle giant,’ a student who loomed large and didn’t cause trouble.” Crouch then dropped the hammer: “Some joined the crowds of mourners and protesters who had gathered there since the shooting in protest of how Brown had died: black, unarmed and from multiple gunshots.” Crouch’s piece was syndicated to multiple other publications, including the Chicago Tribune.

Al Sharpton. Sharpton, who jetted onto the scene in Ferguson, Missouri, as quickly as humanly possible, described Brown as a “gentle giant.” He then used the death of the “gentle giant” to proclaim to Rachel Maddow of MSNBC, “We've got to solve the problem, and we've got to make the criminal justice system work for people like Michael Brown, otherwise we're not the country that we claim to be.”

Daily Kos. Over at the left-wing site, a writer described Brown thus:
Mike was a big guy who his family called their "Gentle Giant." He was built to be a high school football player – direct from central casting – but Mike was too timid for the sport. According to friends and family, he had never been in a fight in his life. And, of course, it logically follows that Mike Brown had never had a criminal record or a single run-in with the police. He lived with his parents and threatened and intimidated no one.

The Daily Mail. On Wednesday, Daniel Bates of the UK paper wrote, “He was a 'gentle giant' – timid and quiet yet 6ft 4 tall and 300lbs – raising the possibility that the cop who killed him may have been intimidated by his size… Eric Davis, Michael’s cousin, described him as a 'big gentle soul'.” Bates also quoted Michael’s aunt, who stated, “He wasn't a violent person. He was peaceful. He was a gentle giant. He looked like he could really do something but he wouldn't.” Bates concluded by implying that the police department was racist: “It is overwhelmingly African-American, but all save three of the 53 police officers in the town's force are white, including the chief.”

The Washington Post. On Tuesday, Wesley Lowery and Todd Frankel of the Post reported on the “gentle giant,” using the phrase as a subheading in a larger piece about Brown’s graduation from high school:

“We called him the gentle giant. He was a gentle giant,” said Charles Ewing, Brown’s uncle. His family tried to get him to play football. Brown was too timid for the sport, Ewing said. “He had never gotten into a fight in his entire life,” said Duane Finnie, a family friend… It wasn’t supposed to turn out like this. Not for Mike Brown.

CNN. CNN ran the headline “Michael Brown, teen shot by police, days before college.” That piece, by Catherine Sholchet, painted a glowing, pacifistic picture of Brown: “Family members nicknamed him the ‘gentle giant’… And he was proud to be setting an example for his younger siblings.”

Frankly the media has had most of this wrong. But they are in business to sell cars, beer and Viagra.

Even FOX has been off base with some of its comments.

For instance, the Ferguson police chief said at first that the he had no knowledge if the two cops involved with the shooting knew of the convenience store robbery yet subsequent statements indicted they were not stopping Michael and Darian for that, but for walking in the street.

So, in an attempt to salvage their narrative, the media latched on that. as though it had anything to do with the guilt or innocence Michael,,,, of the officer who shot Michael.
They said it tonite on FOX 'The Five' The Cops weren't looking for Michael in connection with the robbery" and Bill Oriely scolded...."YOU DON"T KNOW THAT!"
Truth is they didn't. But they had been repeating it all day as fact.

Thanks for noticing and posting these articles.

I think they want to live in a world where they dont get shot for being black.
Race has not been shown to be a real part of this equation. He was not shot for being black he was shot for his actions. A white who acted the same would have ended in the same results. If that is not a true statement then race was a factor.

Thanks for interjecting a bit of reason into it, Doc. Fact is, race only became an issue AFTER the shooting. And the fact is, the races DO react differently, given the same set of circumstances. Whites don't traditionally loot and burn their own neighborhood in search of justice.

Up for discussion.

The police did NOT know that he was involved in the strong-arm robbery at the Quik-Trip store.

Here's a pic of the deceased "poor, unarmed college-bound teen" in Ferguson, MO.

The "Gentle Giant".

That's the "star witness" sitting behind him.

Most likely not the pic the MSM will use.

Very True . Race is not a factor ...... but that will not stop blacks from tying it into this mess .
The blacks are like corn fed cows . They are spoon fed this crap and believe whatever they are told by the black leaders who depend on Racism to stay in business . Shame on them for playing the race card and keeping it alive . If anything it is now the other way around as most whites are afraid to say or do ANYTHING for fear of being labeled . Blacks like to riot . When was the last time you saw a group of whites act this way . Whites are smarter as they get the facts , think about it , and then decide . Blacks just do as they are told and hope that looting starts so they can get a new Flat screen out of the deal . I do not believe for one second that 99% of those rioting give a damn about the shooting victim

If you notice, all of the 'protesters' now have new tennis shoes.

That, my friend, is how they see justice in Ferguson, MO.

And at the risk of being banned, let's stop being politically correct. This is simply niggers acting like niggers.

it's actually about people thinking they're entitled to something, be it revenge (not justice) or "reperations" for some perceived wrong as the reason for their current way of life. No personal responsibility for even something as simple as their own feelings, it's always easier to blame others than fix yourself
