What is an old plow worth?

I recently bought a skidozer that has a plow. The plow has only one hydraulic ram that controls up and down. It has a manual adjustment to angle the blade to the left or right. I can’t tell if it home made or not. Parts of it look factory and other look homemade but strong. I’m trying to decide if I should sell it the hydraulic pump and valves or I stash it away just in case I need it later.

Where are you located?

How wide is it?

I can't tell you what a snowcat plow is worth but I've been hunting for a truck plow so I can tell you what they are going for in the PNW.

I would guess that it's worth around $500-1000. Big plows with non-standard hookups have on sale for around $650 in this area but there isn't a huge demand for big non-truck snow plows out here.

Try scanning Craigslist in your area using this tool:

It will let you search for "plow" in multiple Craiglist sites at once.

Hope this helps.

I don’t live in the snow, so I don’t need to plow anything. If it’s worth selling I was thinking of putting the money towards some repairs. If it’s not worth much I’ll just remove the belt to the hydraulic pump, and stash the blade somewhere.
