What I think is a vintage handcarved chess set. with tile enlayed board.

I picked this up today. It was in an auction and I won. I probably paid to much fo rit.

But I like it. Hoping to find out more on it but cannot find it anywhere online.

Any of you see anything like this before, or have an idea on value?

Neat. One unique feature on this one is that each pawn is different. I've never seen another chess set like that. Are your pawns unique that same way?

This is one my wife found. the board is similar but the chess pieces appear more conventional and are made of soap stone.

How and where did you get yours? My winning bid was $200, which seems in the general ballpark for value.

Solid wood base, some patina on the real brass,,, I would suggest it is antique.

It certainty looks it.
