What do YOU want from Santa?

I've been thinking about stuff that I need and realized that I am a very fortunate soul, what I need I probably have 2 of, and what I want I probably 2 of. So basically other than things that wear out, like socks and underwear, I really don't need anything for Christmas and if I wanted something I already bought it so I really have a short Christmas list. Heck I don't even want a new tractor!

From Santa
  • I'd like a new rifle, but I don't know which one, what caliber or even the action type . . . though I am now leaning toward single shot.
  • I'd like an Apple Video iPod, but I'd never use it, I just want to play with it until the novelty wears off so I guess I hope I don't get that.
  • I'd like a new wristwatch, but I've got a bunch and the lovely Mrs_B gave me one not too long ago so if Santa brought me one and I wore it then Mrs_B might be hurt and think I don't like the one she gave me, so I guess I shouldn't ask for that.
So what do you want or need from Santa? A new job? A new car? A new gun? Little things or big things?

my request is simple,, stop all this rain and change it over to snow. We've had ten years worth of rain in the last three months,.. I went to the shoe store the other day for new boots, the steel toe's kind. I couldn't find any with web feet in them and that is what I need about now...

A Christmas season without all the commercialization, one with true meaning. If we have to give someone something, why not give someone something that otherwise would not have something, and they can really use what we give them. I would love to be able to give a homeless family a home, or build a shelter for the thousands of homeless to have a warm place this season to call home. I know it is out of touch with "reality" of the real world, but in our area they are now talking about an arena, over 200 mill for this thing, and we have folks in the same area of town that will be "displaced" from their cardboard homes because of it.

Lasy year at a family gathering we got a shock. We gave a 13 year old neice a nice shirt, long etc. It was not "designer" so she sort of wimpered something. Her cousin, who has very little, loved it...........so we promptly told her she could have it, she was thrilled. She still comes to our house and she still loves whatever anyone gets for her...........and no it does not have to have a certain label to make her happy.

But if we have to have a stocking, then one of the pistol grip screwdrivers (skil), small and compact to fit in the tight places I have to use a screwdriver in.

A set of LONG shank, T HANDLE hex keys in metric and SAE.

I dont want or need much, kind of happy this way. My only wish is that more happiness would find it's way to those who think they are.

Danny we actually set a $25 limit on 'adult' gifts this year as all members of our family are fortunate to have their own homes, with all the necessities, and then some stuff left over. Our goal is to work with our local church and 'adopt' some families that are hard on their luck and see what we can do to change their luck. No need to get or give what is not needed to family who has so much when there are others who need so much and have so little. I think it will be a nice lesson for our kids as well.

A bigger workshop, cant be doing with having to leave stuff out in the rain. Other than that one of those big roller cabinets for my tools (like Bad Attitudes, though I doubt I could afford a snap-on one :o)
Dont ask much do I :D

I wasn't able to think of anything for awhile.

I came up with:
A set of nice wood chisels
A new Carhartt coat

I know what you mean. My wife keeps asking for a list, since the family is asking. But I truly have no clue what Santa could bring.

OK guys I figured it out. I know what I want for Christmas. It is over the $25 spending limit the lovely Mrs_B has this year so you guys may have to pitch in to help her out.

I'm asking Santa for an Aimpoint CompC SM rifle sight. I think I'm being good this year. It is not the super fancy military sight. But it will work well on my nickle plated SMLE and should easily stand up to the recoil of the .308 rounds.

Now, who of you is going to play Santa?

Where do we send the check(s) Bob?

Santa came for me already on Black Friday: New 130 Amp MIG Welder to play with, Carhartt rain gear, and a new Dewalt angle grinder (didn't need it but it was so cheap!).

No big line ups at the Farm Store. ;)

Drove past a Walmart and it was one ugly looking scene!

I'll tell the wife to get me something simple to find and unexciting.

Now with a 2.5 year old and a 15 month old this should be a fun Christmas. Kids make Christmas fun again! Since the oldest one is into pink and princesses it will be a pretty obvious theme to Christmas.

The dogs get a fresh supply of raquet balls and non-rawhide treats (rawhide = toxic gas) all wrapped up tight in several boxes that they will take hours to chew into before they get their reward.

On my wish list I put:
Bruce Sprinsteins new DVD release of 'Born to Run'
and a new Rubbermaid Cooler (15 gallon i think) ...it's a one handed cooler, easy to carry. I broke wore out our old one last boating season. :D

What I'd really like - but won't get (nor did i ask for)
Night Vision Goggles.
I don't need them, but they are so cool. I like to ride our ATV at night and those goggles would be awesome to ride with (i think ...i've never tried it).

We also adopt a family. the list comes from a local school to my work place. All families are taken care of one way or another. We've gotten feedback from a few families that really appreciate the helping hand. We do it for them, but also for us. It helps give you a warm feeling at Christmas time.

Just make sure you and anyone you're with doesn't turn on any lights or it'll blind you
When I think of it, I might pull out my night vision scope and put it in the classifieds. Won't work for riding though (unless you like driving while looking through something that's like a camcorder).

Well I feel like I just got an early Christmas gift. In fact its even better than that.

In the mail was a magazine. The magazine is dated March 1, 1963 and it is in almost perfect condition. It is Automobile magazine and I purchased from a collector in England. But the best part is that there is a nice 2 page review of a Snow Trac. I'm sure the lovely Mrs_B won't understand, but I feel giddy!!!

Merry Christmas to me!

I would like Chanuka Harry to convince my parents to visit me and my family . They say that they are too old to make the 2.5 hr plane trip from San Diego but they did manage to visit my sister in San Francisco. I have to admit, this isn't the best time of year for S. Californians to visit the northwest.

Other than that, and it's going to sound corny, I am wishing for the health and happiness for my family and friends.

I totally understand. What is it with GrandParents? Why do they want you to pack up your small kids and haul them around the country on airplanes and long car trips? They say they are too old (they aren't) or it is too much work to come and visit you. Of course, when they come and visit you then they either act all strange like they are being a burden on you (well duh - they are - but less burden than having to go to their place) or they expect you to wait on them (like I need more kids to take care of).

I hope when I get old that I don't forget just how much work it is to take care of small children.

I already asked my misses for a new pair of down hill ski's but she keeps saying " I already purchased your gift, but dont worry you'll love it" & unfortunatly I never do :( !

Like PB I have my eyes on a welder. Not sure which one yet. I've registered to take the 4 month long welding class at the local Vo-Tech but it doesn't start till Jan 24th. Looks like I'll be getting my gift late this year....LOL

Other than that I think all I really want is more seat time!!!

How about a two spool valve, a hyd. top link cyl, an extra 2"X8" cyl, and some hose and fittings :14_6_20: The one with the gun would be my wife??????????????
