Weather Report

Well it's currently -36 F in Glenallen Alaska. Which is only 30 miles away from my cabin. Too damn cold to go out and play right now. :sad:Tomorrow I may take a look at the back tire on the Snow Trac to see if it is wallowed out and needing new lugs.
Not much snow up there either from what I have heard. Need to haul in materials and cut firewood. Maybe next R&R.
What are your weather conditions in your area???

34 deg. and no snow for several hundred miles in any direction....

Was nearly 60 here this PM. No winter just yet...

My Snow Trac is ready though.

Regards, Kirk

We had snow,(E.Central WI) but a blast from the south took care of that. rumor has it there is snow in the north, I will find out later this week as I am going to go poke the imp awake and see if it wants to go out and play....

anyone ?

Mike

It was 73 degrees here today. Absolutely beautiful although really cloudy this morning and partially cloudy all afternoon. Mowed part of the yard and mulched some leaves. After fixing the tractor went and started to give the pasture its last mowing of the year. I'll finish it off tomorrow or the next day. It's supposed to be 47 by morning.

A "cold" front is supposed to come through tonight and drop the temperature down to 70 tomorrow but it's back up to 79 by the week-end.

Can't complain about it but shorts and T-shirt doesn't make it feel like Christmas.

I was looking today as I was running around, I need to spray the yard for weeds. I thought I was through with that for this year. Crap!!!!

67 yesterday and folks were out all over walking and enjoying it. 30 right now and breezy cold. We had a hard rain last night that ended in flurries early this morning as a front rolled through.

hey guys
On Monday, 3/12/12 a cold front came with a snowstorm that lasted three hours. (North west Greece - region Florina) No problems. We have no cold, no ice snow, and ice. The weather is soft 5C or 41 F and at nights until the mornings the temperature is 2 C or 35F.
On Tuesday the snow has melted in the city. In the mountains at an altitude 1200 m, the snow is mixed with fog and rain and the sleet. The weather change every time, rain, snowflakes, some times the sun came out from the clouds. The weather is not stable yet. But the winter is close.
The ST4 is all ready.

Regards Nikos

Snow in the mountains of Colorado, finally the high pressure has been shoved out of the way. We have a 4000 acre fire burning in Estes Park in our high country.....in december is unheard of, this snow should bring it under control.

Just snowed about 6" in Anchorage. Warmed up to about 19 F in town. It is still about -15 F in Glennallen AK. Maybe next trip home it will have warmed up enough to play in. Want to get the Snow Trac out for a spin. Watched some youtube videos to satisfy my urge to get out on the trail.

It's finally "whitish" on the ground around here. I won't say it's snow, yet. But at least it looks different from summer!

I guess I'm anxious...:w00t2::clap::w00t2:

Snowed another 6" last night in Anchorage, and is still snowing like crazy. 23 F in Anchorage. 27 F in Glennallen Ak. Just in time for me to head back North to Prudhoe Bay for work.

Drove the Snow Trac up and down the alley to see if the tire would stay tight yesterday, would have been better today. Hoping that the weather will be nice next R&R. Would like to get it up to the cabin.

Anyone been out yet this year?

out here in nome i only got 3 inches last night and the ice went out on the bering sea temps came up to about 15 but going back down to night and by friday night down to -15

Been snowing all day. Anchorage is a mess. Roads were not plowed except on the main streets, and barely there.

Drive and sidewalks shoveled off once more. Nasty road conditions.

Hey guys.

Yesterday it was snowed again. The snow in the mountain area is about 10cm or 3,94 in. On Monday 10 -12-2012 i did the first "night Walk" around the snowy paths. It was a NICE experience.:wow:
Tοday the temperature is -8 C or 17.6 F and the nights the temperature fall down at -16C or 3,2 F.
I send pics

Regards NIKOS.

it f'n cleared up last night 1 below this morning and down to -15 by lunch and only 3 inches of snow guess no snow for a while again better not rain all summer again

Nikos, it is great to see your machine out in some snow!
And I must say that is one heck of a wood rack in your one pic. Makes mine look small.

Hey Mulman.

The wooden racks are beech wood from the nearby forest. The price of petrol - oil in Greece is too high - expensive, and in most of the homes the main heat source this year is from the woods, burning in Βoiler- Burner and on energy - fireplaces with Fan.

In my house I have a German petrol burner, Α Class - technology, which adapts and a gas burner and heats the floor - House floor heating. This year the german petrol burner did not work so hard.
I prefer the energetic fireplace heater with fan from the woods because of the increased petrol prices. The same happens to the other houses in the Area. Thats why you can see so many wooden racks.

In my future plans i am thinking to use for the house heating floor, the energy of the sun, with a small support from the oil petrol, especially that days, that the sun is not so shine. (cloudy- snowing days, fog etc.).
Already for the heating domestic hot water- for the Kitchen - Bathroom, i use a heater for the solar collectors. I have solar collectors on my roof.
But this is a topic to analyze in a new post.

Regards Nikos

Checked the weather in Glennallen this morning. It said -38 F:sad:, too cold to go out and play in. The ten day forecast says it will warm to +11 F on Thursday when I go home, so maybe will be able to take the Snow Trac out this R&R.

Anyone know where Fahrenheit and Celsius meet? Don will I am sure, Lynden as well.

Warmer up here at Endicott / Prudhoe Bay than it is at my cabin, it is a balmy +7 F up here.

Hey Guys.

Best wishes. Merry Christmas to every one in the Forum
The weather have melt the snow in my yard. Checking the path (Conditions of the snow- depth ) with my car. I need to ride for 3 km in an asphalt to find the snow trail. Maybe tommorow i will ride with the ST4.

Merry Christmas to you Nikos. I see the shovel, were you stuck? The car is not the vehicle to explore much more snow than what the first pic shows. When you get a few miles from nowhere is when you get stuck in a nice deep drift.

hey muleman:smile:

I know that my car isn't the Nikson,s jeep.
When i saw the snow something happens to me. I wake up in the moment when the car stuck in the trails.:yum:
But it was a nice exploration.

Regards NIKOS.
