HI All......

Eric and I are still alive, just really busy.

Our oldest son is going through some medical problems, which alot of my time is spent learning about his monster:read:

He has what is believed to be CRPS/RSD...It's a disabling condition where there is no cure, only treatment. They think it is caused by a injury, when the nerves did not heal properly. You can read more about it here:http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/...rophy/detail_reflex_sympathetic_dystrophy.htm

Things around here are changing and we all have to make an adjustment. He is in the 2nd week of medication. The meds are used only to help him sleep. On top of all this, he needs a tonsillectomy due to sleep apnia. That surgery is scheduled for Dec 4th. On that day his Dr wants to do the next level in treatment for CRPS, which is nerve block. That way he is only put under one time instead of two times.

I apologize for not being around as much as we should be.

Jen and Eric

Jen,

You don't need to apologize, you have good reason to not be around. My wife and I will put you and yours sons needs in our prayers. Drop in now and then to update us.

Best wishes.

Jen,
I hope you have found a Doctor who's well schooled on RSD. They are hard to come by. My Mother In Law suffers from it and it's a terrible thing sometimes. But the good thing is, the more people that get a good diagnosis about their condition, the more it forces the Doctors to learn more about it. And how to treat their patients.

Eric and Jen,

Sorry to hear about your problems. Hoping and praying for the best for you guys. Please keep us informed.

He had a Dr appt yesterday....total waste of time:rolleyes: . She said she hasn't heard back from either Childrens hospitals and she doesn't want to give him any pain meds.

I asked her what I was supposed to do when my son is sitting in a bath tub crying, because he was in so much pain...she said " I really don't know".

So basically.......nothing has changed.

Sorry...Im seriously frustrated:cry:
