the old trucker

New member
I got an email from friend looking for 34 cleats like the ones in the pics below. I'm waiting to hear back from him to find out what these belong to. I think they belong to a model T with tracks. I will update info asap !!

Here is the reply that I got today.

Hi,
It is off a 1930 Model A snow flyer kit, that had the extra wheels. It is off various cars that it would fit. It was made in New Holesteen (sp) Wisconsin. The biggest thing is the size, they where made in different widths. These are 12 inches wide. I an also in need of the front ski's for the Snow Flyer kit.
I can't say how much I appreciate the help.
Thanks

Anyone know of someone that can help this fellow out ???

OT.

FYI: Close. New Holstein, Wis., as in the cow breed. Three guesses why I know this, and the first two don't count...

Well since the first 2 don't count, I'll start with the 3rd guess. You know something that I don't. I think there are a few of those machines in Maine.

Boggie think there is any parts for this hid away in your back yard somewhere ??? How about that feller up in Maine. Is he still around ? I haven't heard from him for awhile now...

I do know of a set of those but they are part of a tracked car and they are not forsale. As far as the guy in Maine ? I think he went underground :flowers:

Hi,
I am the person The Old Trucker has so greatly tried to help. I am still in need of some tracks and ski's. Anyone heard of anything lately? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is like digging for a needle in a haystack. :)

I am about 50 miles northeast of New Holstein and my brother would love to find one of these kits also. I have a number of friends who live in that area. Most of these conversions were used by doctors and mailmen ( mailpersons !!! ). Anyway some years ago I started chasing leads on these snow conversions and there seemed to be alot of leads near lakes, especially in my area Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. They were used to run out a ways on the ice for icefishing. My brother is still looking too.
