OK, I'll bet many of you still have your old Nintendo set sitting in a closet.

I did and pulled it out a few weeks ago for the kids to see what we had 20+ years ago.

Well, they seem to prefer it over their computer and gameboy games.

So, I'm looking for more games and possibly components.

Anyone want to clean their closet?

If I gave them up, what would I do in my spare time. At least a lot of those games made sense as to how to achieve the objective.:tiphat:

So you admit to playing those old games as well? My daughter loves it when I play Mario with her. I remember some of the old tricks and such and to her, each new one is more exciting than the previous.

I will admit that I still have a working NES hooked up and my wife and I play it fairly regularly :hide: .
My nine year old nephew was visiting us this summer and really got good at Super Mario Bros. (the original). He also did many things he can't do since he and his parents live in the city. Things like riding four wheelers, driving the tractor and riding mower, and playing with farm animals. When my dad asked him what he liked best about Uncle Lawrence's house, he said "Mario!" My dad asked him "Couldn't you play that other places, too?" My nephew responded "nowhere I've ever been!"

About a year ago I got a GameBoy Adavnce to play some of the old NES classics. Nintendo had re-released them for the portable system. I've been looking to sell it for a while now. I had it listed on Yahoo auctions for about three months before I decided to pull it off. It is like new and plays great. I played the games and it just sits around now. Here is the description I had used on Yahoo Auctions:

Graphite colored GameBoy Advance SP is in excellent condition. It has a brighter backlit screen. Comes with battery charger. Like new. Adult owned. Comes with eight games (one is a dual game cartridge).

The Games - Classic NES Series: Super Mario Bros. (Rare!) (Shown on GameBoy); Super Mario Advance; Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World; Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3; Mario Kart Super Circuit; Wolfenstein 3D; Spy Hunter/Super Sprint Combo Cartridge. I had originally purchased Super Mario Advance as a used game. That is shown in the photo in a little bag to the bottom right. The game plays, but some functions don't work. It is unable to retain game saves. I have since replaced it with a new Super Mario Advance game that plays perfectly. The new one is sitting on its box. The boxes for the new games are in near perfect condition. All books and baggies are included as well. The gaming case is very sturdy. Lots of space to store things. The GameBoy and games will ship packaged inside the gaming case.

Gaming case includes - Car Adapter; Two screen protectors (unused); Screen Magnifier; FM Radio; Earphones; GameBoy Advance Link Cable; Game cases that hold two games a piece (one is blue, the other silver).

I was asking $255 + S&H. If you look on eBay, I have seen the Classic NES Super Mario go for $70 plus with just the cartridge. If anyone's interested let me know. :)

Here's some pics:

Too bad this conversation didn't happen earlier...

Mrs. Zoom just got a Gameboy Advance SP for my son and a Gameboy DS for my daughter...
