wanted- Ford engine for SW48

I sent one to the dump this year it was in a propane powered air compressor with 150 hours on it kind of sucked tossing it but what was I going to do with a ford engine.

switching from industrial to automotive engines is not a straight forward swap - all mounts, brackets, linkages, transmission, bell housing, universal, etc, etc, etc have to be changed - can be done, but sure helps to have a proper shop and some skills
:hammer:

Siezure is no reason to discard it. Pull it, drop the bottom, pound out the cylinders, polish the bores, re-ring the cylinders, reassemble. Or take it for a rebuild - probably 1200 to 1500 bucks in the Finger Lakes region.

If money is no object, the Ford industrials can be bought online, short or long block. Of course, if money is no object he can buy mine for 30 or 40 grand!
