Waffle house stores are ubiquitous. Yes, some are closing but, in the south, they are everywhere.
Traveling though Atlanta some years ago, on interstate I-75, I noticed at least one Waffle house at every exit.
Sometimes two
Sometimes three
and
one exit had a Waffle house on all four corners.
I am betting they could afford to close a few.
