Vertical Muffler for Sno Cat

Blackfoot Tucker

I'm looking for a new muffler for my Tucker.

I want a muffler with heat shields and I'm looking for one that looks great as well as functions well. I realize I could have something fabbed up at a muffler shop, but I want something "nicer", say stainless steel punch plate shielding, something like that. The diameter of the exhasut pipe is 2".

Any ideas?

How about a smaller sized muffler for a diesel truck, one from one of those 'chrome shops' that specialize in selling functional dress up parts for semi-trucks?

try out a local walker dealer walker used to make crome side pips for pickups its easy enough to make those stand streight up and they come with a heat shield

Something like that would be great. Those are too long: 70". I need something about 36-48 inches.

I did look online at a Walker catalog, but the heavy truck mufflers are much larger in diameter. I may go to a truck supply shop in SLC and see if they have something smaller that I couldn't find.

The straight pipe suggestion might work, except I find as I get older I prefer the sound of a muffled exhaust. In my youth I had Cherry Bomb glasspacks and straight-through Thrush mufflers. Now I prefer a low rumbly sound.

Thanks for the ideas...

i would look a little deeper because i have seen them on shorter cars and jeeps also and for the chrome side pips you need to look in the walker automotive book

I put these on my KT3 . Got them through J.C. Whitney
