My previous post showed the snow BEFORE we had a warm up ( we are getting another warm up today, 36f with rain
. notice here that the st4 is resting on top of my hard packed trail (only 2 inches of fresh snow
but enough to make sledding and skiing fun). If you look at the first picture you can see my two helpers waving, the dad is skiing up to the camp. my wife and older daughter are at a birthday and I went down and picked them up later (it was the next day the st4 would not run again and we had to ski down).
The trailer is a snow machine trailer and could be a little wider so the skis would fit in the tracks, now it rides on top of the center hump and is a little tippy.
My little helper and her friend were the first to camp and play in the snow while i got the fire in the cabin started. outside temps were 18f 70+f inside the cabin after a few hours. I find it hard to regulate the temperature inside, it tends to get warm. the night time temp went down to about 1F and did not really go up much.
when we headed home it was 3F, so by the time we got back my oldest (the skier) had red cheeks. she had taken her hood off. I took the picture so i could explain to her about frost bite and how her cheeks would go from red to white then black if she was not careful. she kept her hood on after that and the cheeks warmed up a bit.
