Vehicle covers in the winter?

I'm out of garage space and need to leave some vehicles outside.
I was thinking of putting covers on them but not sure. Looking for input.
If the vehicle is wet or damp when you put the cover on, with the cover freeze to the car?
How hard are they to remove when they have a bit of snow on them? I'm thinking just an inch or 2 would end up weighing a lot.
Will it promote corrosion since the vehicle can't get air? I found my grill corroded faster when it was left covered.
Other thoughts? I'd rather not build another building or install carports.

I’m out of space too ….. the garage Mahall that Big Al designed for me is in Winter mode and full. 48x40 with one 4 post lift currently holding 5 - automobiles, 2 - SXS, motorcycle lift with a bike on it, 3 freezers, 2 refrigerators, 2 safes, 2 stack tool boxes, one tool roll around, table, I could go on and on … yeah it’s bad. I have 2 motorcycles, trike, and 2 small quads in my basement. Only relief is Summer when we leave the beater Pilot and one of the buggies outside until Winter. A good cover is pretty expensive and a bitch to uncover, tried that shit with tractors. Until I build a leanto off the back of a garage, I’ve thought of those cheap canvas or metal carports. I’m making it now barely and trying hard not to build another garage. 😏

Our garages/buildings look similar. I have around 2400 sq/ft and yet 3 of our vehicles are outside.
I thought about those canvas carports but like you said, nowadays they're pretty cheap and you're lucky to get 2 years out of them (unless you get a deep snow then they just collapse and you're SOL.

I would stay away from a cover in freezing and condensing atmospheres. I believe you could expect rusting and surface damage. A carport would be ok if it can handle a major snowfall.

I use about 5000 sq ft of my 10,000 sqft building for my stuff, and rent the rest of it out for heated winter storage (50f). I get 6 bucks a square foot for boats/rvs for the 6 winter months, and 600 bucks for cars.
This is my first year renting out space and i have room for 2 more cars. I should fill it up next year.

I'm going around right now eyeing up materials to make a carport. I think I have enough 4x4's and steel roofing laying around to get it done. ;) Too damn cold today to assemble.
