These are what I am planting this year:

Gotta Have It Sweet Corn
Pink Cadillac Tomato
Roma Tomato
Black Krim Tomato
Improved Gurney Girl II Tomato
Gurney's Giant II Hybrid Pepper
Sweet Banana Pepper
Primo Jalapeño Hybrid Pepper
Yellow Onion
Yukon Gold Potatoes
Early Contender Green Beans
Miragreen Peas
Green Ice Lettuce
Argonaut Hybrid Butternut Squash
Li'l Sweet Hybrid Cantaloupe

These are all from Gurney's.

Darn it, Dave, I haven't even started thinking about it yet. My seed catalogues only started arriving last week. I've been so busy with other stuff but I suppose that I'm going to have to get around to it in the next month or so.

WE have several things planted in the greenhouse already. Mice ate some of the wife's seeds she was saving for this year so now she is looking and sending for some more. We are pretty good for most things and are even trying some onions and carrots from seed. Beets are on the list along with tomatoes if she gets out there this afternoon.

I used to buy a lot of stuff from Gurney's. Don't buy as much as I used to. Last couple of orders just didn't go well. I never could get their "Got to have it sweet corn" to grow. I finally found an old favorite "Jubilee" and can buy it local and have had good luck with it. Not sure how much of a garden I am going to have as the deer and the crows pretty much took everything this last year. What was left the wind destroyed. I only had about twenty quarts of corn frozen this year.

We wind up tossing most of the spinach and lettuce that comes out of our garden. I did steep and freeze some of the spinach before it went to seed on us when we went on vacation, is there a method for preserving lettuce?

I hate to go through the effort with lettuce only to toss most of it on the compost...
