2926V646 this is a Gates,dayco and Gooodyear number
a new belt is 2 &1/8 across the back it will operate down to 1&1/2 inch. the angle cut is slightly different but this is what we use and works well.

Got the motor out, i need to change the starter and the main brake cyllinder

I see your machine was probably one of those put together from parts, in Scotland I believe if I remember correctly. The hood and nose are the identifiers.

Over here most are using a Goodyear variable speed industrial belt. My machine is a few miles away in storage on another part of my farm. If no one else chimes in here I may go and look for the part number. In my opinion this belt is a good representative of the original part. If I remember correctly the angle of the face of the belt is 1 degree different than the originals. I found I had to retention the belt at first a few times as it wore in.

the new gear drive starter is the way to go. you use the original mounting bolts.

Jim, i checked my belt and it is this Gates mulitspeed 2926v646
I had it not too long and the inside is already worn out.
Or is this what you mean by operatie down to 1,5 inch?

measure across the back .I bet it is under 1.5 inch

The pinion will be different for the 12 volt starter and the 6 volt starter
Yours is new enough it should have the flywheel for a 12 volt starter
Just make sure the pinion on the starter matches the flywheel
Yes that’s a good starter
