Underside of Mower Deck

The underside of my mower deck has lost most of its paint.

I'm looking for ideas/thoughts/considerations on what's the best "stuff" for creating a surface that's slippery to reduce the collection of clippings as well as avoiding rust and such.

In general, it would be nice to do something that would last awhile and can withstand some scraping when I do a cleaning as well as the pressure washer.

Anyone ever try EZ-Slide? Does it work?
How about regular Rustoleum paint?
POR 15?
Leave it bare steal and maybe hit it with WD-40 or some Silicone spray now and then?
The heck with it, let it rust and just scrape the clippings out now and then?

I've heard that the ez slide works, but it is expensive to buy and a pain to put on. I just pressure wash it once or twice a season, and all is well...

I used a bedliner product on mine. It worked really well. The only problem was I used the cheap spray in stuff that you get from the auto parts store and it didnt last past the first year. I plan to redo it again with a better quality product or have it professionaly done. It is slippery enough to nearly eliminate grass build up. We had some major rains and a heavy grass cutting season during my "test" and I am sold on how well it worked. I'm interested in the POR-15 stuff for my Jeep project though, have you used it at all?

**Pic's show the deck after one year of mowing(no service or washing)**

hmm good thread.. I was just thinking about something for mine when I was cleaning it last night.. might wait till fall.. I'll let you guys figure out what to use..

I have used POR 15 on my jeep..

It is a good product but make sure you do clean up the rust pretty well before you use it. It only covers the lither rust areas.
